Vintage Pop art Super Hero Birthday Party

Oh my…Hello cute party idea!  Over at Anders Ruff they have some vintage party things going on and SERIOUSLY you HAVE to see this!

Oh and after you see this stuff you’ll need to know where to get it so here are the links:

A Vintage Pop Art Super Hero Party

Being in the “party business”,  (Maureen) always has a vision for her dream kids birthday parties, but it didn’t work out with her son’s ideas!  Her son Pierson wanted a Super Hero party, but she wanted to stay away from commercial characters.  With her outstanding talent and inspiration from striking and vintage aesthetic of Roy Lichtenstein Pop Art she designed the dream party all moms sons dream of!

She decided to have a Vintage Pop Art Super Pierson Party.

No commercial hero’s here!  {{only real hero’s invited}}

The ‘Super P’ was the center stage in the party!  Of course…after the birthday kido!
I am loving the polka dot back ground!
The buildings  are Home Depot’s toss out boxes, crapped and embellished with Electrical Tape! {{nice touch}}

A conversation bubble with ‘YUM’ at the top!  I need to find out what that is made out of!

vintage-pop-super-hero-party Hello…I didn’t know they made lollipops in the shape of 3′s?
“A  party can be what your child wants without being overly characterized/commercialized.”
More candy and more electrical tape!  Candies in buildings!
vintage-pop-super-hero-party Jello shooters that are layered in the colors of the party!

vintage-pop-super-hero-party Lets get to the favor table!  Personalized capes and masks and treats from the candy bar!

vintage-pop-super-hero-party I am sure there was a line for these goodies!
The party was open for all super hero’s…male and female!  A pink cape…I need one.
Remember Home depot?  They have refrigerator boxes!
Perfect for the telephone booth!

vintage-pop-super-hero-party Pin the Super Logo on Pierson’s Super P!

Some were closer than others!

Why not add in a photo booth?

vintage-pop-super-hero-party Adria and I had to get in on the action before everyone arrived….You’lll see that we had yellow/red/blue cardboard bricks that the kidsenjoyed building walls and breaking through walls like a super hero. vintage-pop-super-hero-party Now go on…get over and see where they get this fun stuff!  Next year maybe they will invite me…I mean my son!

Thanks Anders Ruff for sharing this!

    This party is absolutely adorable! If my son’s 2nd birthday party wasn’t this Saturday, I might be tempted to change the theme!

    Just a quick question: At the top where you say “The buildings are Home Depot’s toss out boxes, crapped and embellished with Electrical Tape!” did you mean “wrapped and embellished…” ?? :)

    I love this party and may have to consider it for his 3rd birthday! Thanks for the inspiration!
