Thanksgiving Play Set – Free Printable & Felt Pattern
November 6, 2012 by Shelley
If you are hosting Thanksgiving and you have little ones to entertain, look no further. We’ve got you covered! Once again, we’ve teamed up with the ultra-talented Chickabug to offer an exclusive printable set for HowDoesShe readers. Just to switch things up a little, you can opt to print the color version, or use the included pattern/template to create an adorable felt activity.
I am a bit obsessed with felt, I decided to make my little family the felt version. I know we will cherish these for years and years to come.
What better way to make the little ones feel special than by giving them their own place card (aka boat filled with candy)? Again, these can be made out of the color printable or the felt pattern. They are super easy either way.
Included in the kit are four hands-on Thanksgiving themed activities. Each comes with a printable bag topper that perfectly fits sandwich baggies.
*All Thanksgiving Play Set activities are featured on a 12″x18″ placemat of stiff felt. I found mine at Hobby Lobby.
Put the feathers on the turkey.
With all this fun, the adults just might be begging to sit at the kid’s table too!

This themed pattern would make the cutest Thanksgiving quiet book pages too. Just sayin’.
I’m always looking for ideas for quiet book pages.

So fun! I can’t wait for Thanksgiving. I think this Grandma will be sitting at the kids table!
I am already a member but it will not let me download. Is this only for new members?
So great! Thank you. I will be using this with my family and my kindergarten students! Teachers love freebies
I’m SO excited about this post!! Hooray! Thank you Shelley for taking such beautiful photos : ) I hope everyone enjoys the printables!
I’ve been a subscriber for a few years and I never get any of the free printables in my inbox. The email that has this doesn’t have any link to the free printable. What’s going on?
Thanks!
Valerie, I’ll email you now.
Cute stuff! I cant access my email right now but was wondering if it includes the pattern to make that cute boat with the name on it =)
yes mam.
I can hardly wait to do this for Thanksgiving and I was thinking the SAME thing about the Quiet Book! But, I didn’t get an e-mail update
Sorry, I did get it…yay!! Thanks so much!
I LOVE these! I’m making them to keep the kiddos entertained before the dinner is ready. And I’m wondering if you have these for other holidays? I’m thinking “decorate the christmas tree” or “decorate the wreath”, a pumpkin with lots of shapes to make different jack o’ lanterns, easter eggs with different shapes (lines, squiggles, dots) to decorate, USA flags – puts stars and stripes on, Now, if I was only artistic and could draw it. Do you guys have any more of these, or plans to make more?
Hi Jen! Thanks for your suggestions! It’s really helpful to know what HowDoesShe readers would like me to design next : )
My grandson wants to make a turkey for his dad’s birthday. This is the perfect pattern. Thanks for sharing a great freebie.
I love these! Will you please send me the printables?
Can you put a pic of the cornucopia or tell how you put it together so you can tuck in the veggies into it?
Hi Nikita! You’ll see it’s very simple – you just lay the cone piece overtop of the oval piece. If you are going to stitch the cornucopia down to a placemat base, you just need to leave one side of the cone piece unstitched so that the fruits and vegetables can be stuck inside. There are some instructions in the printable file, too. I hope this helps! : )
I can’t seem to get these printables. They look fabulous. How can I get them?
Thanks, Debbie
I love these ideas for keeping the kiddos occupied! Mine will be happy for a good while with these templates. Also, I love what Jen suggested in the comments (hint, wink, nudge) and will be on the lookout for other holiday kits from chickabug
Hi there! I love the activity/felt kit, but can’t find the link to download it to make it for my little boy. Am I missing something? TIA!
Thank you so much for sharing..I hope you don’t mind but I shared this awesome project with me readers
Blessings
Thanks for the great activity! I’m making the felt version and had a question. What did you do with the tree, the cornucopia and turkey body? You mentioned something about a placemat… Did you go ahead and glue the bigger pieces down to a larger piece of felt and then put the add ons in the Baggie?
I’ve been a subscriber as well…and can’t find the link to download. Can you send to me direct link? Really love the creativity you ladies share. Can’t wait to hear from you so i can start this cute project.

I’m in the same boat as Valerie! Am a subscriber and am dying to print this out for my three year old for tomorrow’s festivities, but I don’t have a link! Can you help?
I am already a subscriber to you weekly emails, which I devour! It is a delight to receive them and there is so many great ideas and cute things. I am having trouble today getting this Thanksgiving printables to download. Such a sweet idea I was hoping to use it tomorrow when my house gets invaded with 12 tiny little ones all under the age of 7.
Never mind! I went to the original download section and found it!
