One Fairy Cute Party
May 18, 2013 by Shelley
This adorable little girl and I have a very special bond. She is my first born niece and we share a birthday. Only one problem, we are never together to celebrate! {We live 1,000 miles away. Two thumbs down for dental school. Boooo!}
Well this lucky birthday girl had a fairy birthday party. One fairy cute party!
Let’s start with my favorite detail. These fairy cupcakes are to die for.
{Sheesh, you literally might after eating all that icing
}.
I’m not sure if I love the stacked pink icing, or the silhouette fairy toppers more.
Each guest received a fairy halo, a fairy tutu, a fairy wand, fairy wings, a flower fairy pen, and of course,…pixie dust. Talk about a little girl’s HEAVEN!
Really. Isn’t this pixie dust about the cutest thing you have ever seen? Perfect for a fairy party.
I love the pun on the favors. “Thank you FAIRY much for coming!” -Party puns are the best.
One of these years I am going to be a part of OUR birthday celebration.
I would have made a cute fairy, don’t ya think?
Fairy Birthday Party Games:
1. The fairies played musical chairs with flowers.
2. The mother fairy put all of her fairies to sleep with a magic wand. If they moved, they were ‘out’. The last sleeping fairy won.

Oooo! Sis, I just noticed that butterfly garland. Where did you get that?!
This fairy birthday party was budgeted at $100. She might have gone slightly over, but hey, we all do that every once in a while, right? Most of the decorations came from the dollar store. Grand total $130. Not too shabby!
Thanks for sharing this fairy cute party inspiration with us.
*All pictures were taken and edited by my little sister at Kara Jo Photography.

cute, cute! I love fairy parties….
Adorable! You did a great job Kara! I might have to try this for little Miss Myla…
That is such a cute idea! I love it. Would love to have a fairy party for me. Great idea.
Oh my goodness!!! I have 4 boys and one pretty little fairy and she would just DIE to have a birthday celebration like this!!!! And yes, yes! Please, where did she get the garland??!
Yay! I’ve been waiting for this post! Kara, this party turned out SO darn cute!! I love every single detail! You did a fantastic job. I’m pretty sure if we lived closer, you, Shelley and I would be BFF’s.
This is adorable! The pictures are great too! {I guess it helps when you’re a photographer!} Nice work Kara!
LOVE the pixie dust bottles! Adorable!
Did you find those cute pixy dust bottles at the dollar store? Too cute…what a great girly party!
This is just wonderful – we are having a Tinkerbell party next week and I am convinced that cupcakes are the way to go now, and I love the easy-peasy fairy halos and the other simple, beautiful details of the party! I am also glad to see that the 4 year olds were able to play some games. I love incorporating games but always worry that the kids are too young. These two games were just perfect for the party!
Aww, thanks everyone! The butterfly garland was at the dollar store too! Found lots of pastel pink stuff there! I got the pixie containers at walmart. I think they were $1.00 a piece. It was lots of fun to put together:)

Ohhh how sweet! I’ve always had a fairy party tucked away in my list of ideas for my girls… after seeing this I might just have to do it! Last year I drew inspiration from the Rainbow Polka Dot Party featured here and they loved it!

Where are the cute favor boxes from? And did she make the adorable fairy label? Those pictures are to die for by the way…. seriously makes me want to hire a photographer to come take party pictures for me!
Now one of you needs to do a vintage toy/tranportation birthday party so I can draw some inspiration… that’s what I’m planning for my little boy’s 1st bday next month!
Oh my gosh–I am SOOOO happy to see such a cute party with an affordable price tag. So many of the parties featured on blogs have budgets in the 1000s and it’s so hard to replicate on a budget. This party is adorable AND affordable (uh oh–I think I may have my next blog post title
Thanks. Super cute!
oh and your sister’s photography is awesome!
Looks like everyone had a great time! I love the puns!
What a sweet party!!
I know your niece had a fairy funtastic time!
Sheesh, why didn’t they have birthday parties like this when I was a little girl? So much fun!
Love this fairy party. I recently had a tangled party. It is one of the recent post on my blog.
Gorgeous! I want this to be my birthday party, haha. I’d love for you to submit this too over at the M&T Spotlight: http://www.makeandtakes.com/spotlight

I thought you did a fantastic job. Where did you find the tu-tus. I know I’ve seen them at the dollar store, not sure if that’s where you got them???

It was just glitter in bottles.

Love everything about this party! Where did you fin the image for your cupcake toppers? I’ve been looking everywhere and cannot find them. You have beautiful ideas!
What a gorgeous party – please can I ask where the party favour bags came from?
They were just from the dollar store.
What did she use for the pixie dust in the little favor jars? Sugar? Glitter? I am planning a Tinkerbell party for my daughter.
Never mind – I just saw you already answered my question because it was already asked (glitter). Thanks!
Lovely party, great ideas.
very cute party theme, could I ask you where to find the butterfly wings for all the girls. Do you have an idea for a mix group, I have five boys in our list:)many thanks
Where did you get the fairy wings?? I am looking everywhere for them!
Where did your sister get the wings, wands, halos and print outs? This is adorable and we are doing a fairy party for our soon to be 3 yr old and this is perfect! So cute!
Hi there, I would love to know how you made the butterfly garland hanging up and the flower garlands around the table? They are divine!
I love this fairy party. Thank you for posting it and for doing it on an affordable budget. I am planning one for my own little fairy in March. We will also have boys at the party. Do you have any suggestions for incorporating boys into the fairy theme? What is the male counterpart?
where did you get the butterfly wings?
The link for the fairy halo is not working…how did you make these?
So adorable. I love this so much!!
