delicious and easy banana pops

Today was the perfect warm Spring day and I couldn’t resist sharing my favorite Summer-time treat any longer. Bananas. No,… I’m not just talking about plain ‘ole bananas. Chocolate Dipped Frozen Bananas. Now I have your attention. Have you had them before too?! I was introduced to frozen bananas at the State Fair, but that only comes around once a year. I crave them far to often, so I’ve taken matters into my own hands and figured out how to make Chocolate Dipped Frozen Bananas. delicious and easy banana pops

This creative treat is fun to make, so grab your helpers. I had to tell my helper to ‘get off his banana phone’ and focus. delicious and easy banana pops

Make sure your bananas are ripe, but not over-ripe. Cut your bananas in half (or cut off the bottom inch for an adult sized treat) and stick popsicle sticks in the bottom. delicious and easy banana pops

Put the bananas in the freezer for at least an hour. delicious and easy banana pops

In the meantime, get all of your favorite toppings prepared. We love toffee bits, peanuts, and coconut. delicious and easy banana pops

Now the fun part. Dip, Dip, Dip! We use Smuckers Magic Shell, but your banana must be completely frozen for the chocolate to harden. You can also use melted semi-sweet or milk chocolate for dipping. delicious and easy banana pops

Sprinkle. Don’t be shy… delicious and easy banana pops

Are you dying yet? I seriously am having a hard time focusing. I want one. Now. delicious and easy banana pops

Put on wax paper and let freeze for another LONG (but worth it) hour. delicious and easy banana pops

FYI: This cold treat should basically be guilt free. And feel proud while your kids eat them! It’s BANANAS we are talking about here! Enjoy every last bite!

I’m going to make these today, but I’m making my own magic shell. It’s easy-just 1 1/4 c chocolate bar or chocolate chips and 1/2 c coconut oil. Melt together and then allow to cool slightly.
