Hey ladies! Can you believe it? Christmas is the day after tomorrow! Happy holidays to you all! In the spirit of the season, and with the chill that has descended upon us, {finally! I was beginning to think the east coast NEVER got cold!} I decided to create a little mini guide of six items to have in your closet this winter that will keep you both cozy and fashionably versatile. Ready?

1. The go-to large chunky knit sweater that has incredibly deep pockets, could possibly fit your grandpa, but looks way better on you.

2. The fur vest that your husband can only compliment with a “you look … fuzzy”, keeps you deliciously warm, tickles your baby and turns every outfit into an instant statement

3. The leather moto jacket that goes just as well with jeans as it does your favorite striped skirt, makes you feel tougher than you really are and is the most wind resistant thing you own.

4. The neutral trench that is so silky it makes you feel as if you’re secretly wearing designer, doubles as your Sherlock Holmes costume, and goes with literally everything

5. The double breasted coat that you wear every single day, covers your bum and has a collar that’s fun to pop for extra chilly weather protection

6. The heavy duty coat for especially brutal days that has shiny buttons and a faux fur lining to make you feel extra fancy even when you want to curl up and die cause it’s so cold.

HO HO HO HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! May your weekend be extra cozy!

Sydney

Sydney just made the recent move to Washington D.C. where she resides with her husband and new baby boy. She’s enjoying the transition from college grad to a developing domestic queen. Her latest domestic accomplishment: skipping the Mac-and-Cheese aisle at Walmart. You can find more of Sydney on her blog, the daybook.

Love all these ideas, especially number 5. My husband bought me a beautiful mustard coat that looks good with everything (and covers my bum.) I too wear mine everyday!

You are adorable, I don’t know that I have ever seen someone make a big heavy coat look so good. And your boots…oh sheesh.
    Merry Christmas to you Sydney!

  3. Love these looks! I would love to know where the fur vest & the coat are from!! Very cute =)

The only problem with this post, is that there should really be some sort of indication where items like this can be found – or where you got yours to give those of us that are fashion retards a clue where to begin. I don’t have all the time in the world to just try to search for similar items without even having a jumping off point. These are all darling and I would have loved to know where they came from. :)
