Baby Shower Inspiration – 8 Theme Ideas
February 17, 2010 by Shelley
I’m a party girl {no, not the crazy wet T-shirt type}! I love attending a good party and I especially love hosting a good party. My party idea file literally grows everyday. Today I spent a ridiculous amount of time online gawking at gorgeous baby shower ideas because my little sister is expecting! For some reason I feel like Spring is ‘baby time’, so thought I’d share some inspiration.
1. First I have to share the twin shower that my amazing friends threw for me last year (thanks Jen). How cute are those two ‘pigs in a blanket’? I love the Napkin Dress too {Tutorial coming soon}!
2. Brittany Egbert designed this gorgeous Elephant themed shower (she is a Salt Lake City based designer. Lucky Utah girls)…
3. PartyBoxDesign created a cupcake themed baby girl shower…

4. Carrie from TheCakeBlog threw this amazing Turtle themed Baby Shower. Look at those adorable turtle sandwiches.
5. Kim from TomKatStudio is one of my favorite party designers. She created this adorable ‘Vintage Surf’ themed baby shower…
6. CreativePartyPlace featured a ‘She’s About To Pop!’ themed shower. What a great gender neutral idea!
7. And another gender neutral ‘Cute As a Button‘ Shower by StemParties…

8. And just because I am biased, one more twin shower! StemParties‘ Amy hosted the most adorable Dr. ‘Suess Thing One & Thing Two’ party. {See more pictures from her party here}
and more Suess inspiration from KarasPartyIdeas
And because of the adorable ‘Suess’ shower theme, I must once again show off my ‘Thing One & Thing Two” from Halloween this year.
Are you feeling inspired?! I am! -Please share your parties with us! We would LOVE to feature your ideas on HowDoesShe! Get planning {and invite me}!

Cute, cute, cute!!
Oh, so cute! Now how does one subtley hint to others how cute these are for their own future shower? That would be another skill in itself (=
Let me know what I can do. Send a random email to their email address with this link!?
I’ll do it!
I am just here to say thing 1 and thing 2 take the cake. How Fuh-REAKIN adorable.
SOOOOO CUTE!

I have twins as well. I have tried to dress my girls as Thing One & Two before but could never find any hair that would do. Where did you get your wigs?
I made their wigs! Super easy,…I just bought 2 long blue feather boas and wrapped them around little hats. I used hot glue to make the boa stick.
Oh, that is SOOO smart! I tried blue hairspray stuff, but it did not look good at all. Now if I can find some blue boas…. Thanks!
i would love to dress my 2 daughters up as well….
Where did you find the thing 1 & thing 2 onesies/shirts and the pants/leggings? Please let me know. I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
Can’t wait to see the tutorial on making those napkin dresses! Would be perfect for a shower I’m doing next month!!!

My twins will be 21 on the 16th of July and daughter number two is expecting her first baby (girl) on the 13th! You’ve got me ALL excited now in making up some of the napkin dresses to send to her older sister for her baby shower!
I am SO glad I found you! Will be checking here for inspiration just as often as I am able to!
I love your thing one and thing two costumes! Your twins are adorable!
I would love to dress my daughters up as thing 1 and thing 2 this year but I am having a little trouble….
Can you please let me know where you found the thing 1 and thing 2 onesies/t shirts and the adorable pants/leggings? I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
