You’ll be GLAD…snacks made easy!

I’m sure we can all agree that packing lunches is not an easy task. In fact, it’s one of the trickiest depending on what and where you are going. It’s not only school lunches we find ourselves packing for, but also family trips, play dates, picnics, work lunches, birthday party treats, meal on the go, etc… Well, I have a solution for you: already made, meal sized containers that hold the food exactly how you need it and want to keep it. Say hello to Glad To Go! Let me show you some examples. One of the easiest ways to insure that your lunch or snack will be healthy is to wash, cut, and pack your fruits and vegetables ahead of time. Pack a variety so you don’t feel “stuck” during that craving time of the day. This is one of my favorite combinations:   GladWare_02   I have to have a few crunchy things to wake up my mind through my mouth. :) Carrots and sweet peppers wake me up while sweeter fruits like berries curb that sweet-tooth craving I have in the afternoon. I love a salad for lunch, even if it’s just a side salad to go with my sandwich. But what I don’t like is a soggy salad. You can imagine my excitement when I discovered the little salad cup that pops right in the top of the lid! It holds the dressing in a separate place so you can add it when you’re ready to use it! GladWare_03 Do you see it…? Genius I tell you! GladWare_04 Speaking of sandwiches, the square container is the perfect size to NOT squish the bread. I mean, if I’m going to take the time to prepare myself a nice sandwich, I would like all the items to be where I put them in the morning, including the bread. Anyone else? 😉 This is seriously the perfect solution. It’s sized just enough to keep the sandwich from moving and keep everything in one place! Love it! GladWare_05 One last, and very important thing in packing lunches: portion sizes. There’s no reason we can’t pack our kids or ourselves a little salty or sweet treat in our lunches but we need to remember the serving size. The little containers are the perfect size to throw in a few chocolate covered nuts or salty crackers {or both!}  Now I have a question for YOU! What is your favorite on-the-go snack? I would love to add some new ideas our lunch menu…it’s easy to get in a rut! 😉   GladWare_06
