Hi. I just bought a silhouette cameo about a month ago, and really not sure how to use it. I am learning, but wanted to ask if you know how I can learn all of its functions faster? The book and dvd really don't help much. Cute posts on all the items made with the Silhouette. I would love to start creating like that, but not sure how to use it.

    Thanks,

    Irene

I have owned a silhouette for years now and have used a cricut on occasion. I definitely recommend the silhouette. It can do complex things if you need to and you don't buy cartridges with designs you don't need. Instead you choose from an online library the images you like best at about 1 dollar each. Their tech support is great and there is a website with an established community of silhouette users available to explain just about anything. Silhouetteplus.com. there are so many reasons why it's better to go with a cameo but too many for here. Good luck!

Love your creativity!!! I do have a question for you though. Have you run into the vinyl not adhering to plastic? Such as garbage cans, totes, cannisters, etc ??? If so how do you get it to stick? Thanks for any input.

I have wanted a cameo for years! What a great giveaway! The first thing I would use it for would be to cut my boys names and put them on the coat rack where they hang their back packs and coats everyday!
