The Mighty Wonders of the Silhouette
October 1, 2011 by Caley
You know how much we love the Silhouette Machine here at HowDoesShe?! Did you know that it can help you design custom scrapbook pages, cards, apparel, vinyl decor, etch glass, sketch designs, temporary tattoos, stencils, and more?! If you don’t have a cutter, you can use a pre-cut vinyl company to recreate most of these projects.
Because we’re visual people we wanted to SHOW you a little picture preview of what we’ve made with it!
We just finished our 44th project with it and are working on more as we speak! Stay tuned!
Left to Right, Top to Bottom: T-shirt Stencil, Temporary Tattoos/Kid’s Emergency Numbers, ABC Wall Blocks, Drum Set, Christmas Mugs, Bucket O’ Chalk, Window Decals, Friend Board, Etched Glass/Pencil Holder, Halloween Advent Calendar, Personalized Towels, Recipe Box, Child’s Growth Chart, Magnet Board Count-down, Laundry Room Sign, Teacher Soap Dispenser, Christmas Countdown Plate, Personalized Floating Frame and MORE!

I soooo want the new cameo. Trying to convince Santa I’ve been good enough! I am hanging on to this post for inspiration!
Love your blog and would love to win anything you have.

Hi. I just bought a silhouette cameo about a month ago, and really not sure how to use it. I am learning, but wanted to ask if you know how I can learn all of its functions faster? The book and dvd really don’t help much. Cute posts on all the items made with the Silhouette. I would love to start creating like that, but not sure how to use it.
Thanks,
Irene
Irene-have you had any luck getting started with your Cameo yet? I’m in the same situation as you were and I was hoping that now you could help me out!! Please reply back if you can. Thanks!
im trying to decide between the silhouette and the cricut. can you give me some insight? thanks!
I am also trying to decide between the cricut and the silhouette. Does anyone have any insight?
Hi! I was wondering where to find permanent vinyl. I have vinyl, but it peels right off. I would like try out those cute mugs for Christmas!
I just bought permanent vinyl — and found it on ebay. I purchased a variety of colors — got 14 12×12 sheets for about $10!
Love your creativity!!! I do have a question for you though. Have you run into the vinyl not adhering to plastic? Such as garbage cans, totes, cannisters, etc ??? If so how do you get it to stick? Thanks for any input.
