I am a mother of three and discovered this website www.mytoothfairypictures.com after my oldest lost her first tooth. I have used it with each of my kids. The site allows you to take any picture from home of your child and create an image with the Tooth Fairy. You can download the picture or print it out and surprise your child the next morning. My kids loved the memory they have and I loved adding a little magic to the story of the Tooth Fairy!

I do a lot of babysitting and when its time for bed often the kiddies dont want to brush their teeth. I tell them that the tooth fairy doesnt like dirty teeth or teeth with holes in them. I say the cleaner the teeth the more the tooth fairy gives them when their teeth fall out. This gets them brushing every time!

My in laws in Alaska- found a Tooth Fairy at made from clay. Its in a small jar. It has a little tag on it that says, "Freshly Caught Tooth Fairy". They sent it when my oldest had his first wiggly tooth. It has instructions to not let the fairy out by taking the lid off. Its really cute. The Tooth Fairy is holding a little bowl made from a little nut or something. So at night, when my son has lost his tooth, we put his tooth on top of the jar. In the morning, its in the little bowl, and his money is placed on top of the jar. My son, and his younger brothers are amazed and can't figure out how the tooth gets in and the money gets out. They are really cute about it!

I saw this sweet idea a while back for a "Tooth Fairy Door" which is a small doll house door installed somewhere in your child's bedroom. There are places that sell them (check out monkeytailandwellington.com.au)each custom door comes with a small key and fairy dust! Such a precious ideas!

Our tooth fairy leaves change from our country and the country she was in last nite - along with letter explaining where she was and what the change is called etc. Plus she reviews taking care of your teeth. You only get one set of adult teeth!!

The toothfairy made her first appearance at our house this year when my 6 year old daughter lost her first tooth. I couldn't help myself but to go all out, buying a fancy pillow and even a wooden tooth shaped box that I secretly put her baby teeth in to give her someday (I know it may sound gross to keep them, but I still have mine and I am glad I do!) The tooth fairy left money under her pillow that night, just like she does for most children but she also left some of her fairy dust for my little girl to sprinkle about in our flower beds etc. to entice other types of fairies to visit! =)

The "fairy dust" was actually very fine glitter (pink is great!) that you can buy at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. I bought a plastic salt shaker at the dollar store and filled it with the glitter, then I made tooth and fairy shaped charms out of shrinky dinks (and one that said Tooth Fairy Dust) and tied them on with dental floss. I also tied a pretty pink bow and loop to hang from her headboard just waiting for the next morning to arrive. It was a HUGE hit!

I had leftover fabric glitter spray that I'd used to decorate my daughter's kindergarten backpack. We were pretty broke and I was trying to make a plain pink backpack something special, but I ended up with a lot left over. When she lost her first tooth I was equally broke and was able to find a few small things to give her and I sprayed her hair with the spray glitter. She was the envy of the kindergarten class with her glittered pigtails. She was proudly telling all of her class mates that she got fairy dust in her hair.

She hurt her toe pretty badly in about 2nd grade and it was obvious that her toenail was going to come off eventually. While i was going through the painful process of keeping the wound clean she asked, "Mommy, do you think there is a toenail fairy?" Guess who got some nailpolish and foot lotion when her toenail fell off?
