Super Fun Valentine Activities

People are so creative with ideas for activities to do with your kids – even for a holiday that usually centers around your sweetheart.  Following are a few of my favorites…

Heart Attack their bedroom door

I have seen this done to neighbors, but never thought to do it for my own kids – they are going to love it!  Thanks, skip to my lou for the idea! 

Decorate cookies and cupcakes

Countdown to Valentine’s Day

Alison already mentioned this in one of her posts, but I thought it fit here as well.  Thanks, somewhat simple.  She has a great tutorial on how to make this along with a free printable activity list to go on each day!

Make cute stuff out of a paper heart

A bunny, a caterpillar, a chick, a butterfly, and two kissing fish are some of her other ideas at the ramblings of a crazy woman.

Enjoy some free printables with your kids

Printables4kids has 25 free (or almost free) valentine printables – You’ll have to sort a little but there are some great ones!

the super simple learning blog has some fun valentine worksheets

Stickers you can download and print on labels from parents.com

And my favorite idea I found and now I can’t remember where I read it, was to

 write a love letter to your kids every year, save it in a special place, then give the letters to them when they turn a certain age of your choosing. 

I think this would be such a great gift to give your kids highlighting their year, their talents, and the many reasons why you love them year after year!
