Shower Love Notes

Shower Love Notes

Most of you have probably never seen this post.  It debuted when HowDoesShe was just two months old.  We are bringing it back,…just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Now,…I may or MAY not have had to erase some of our ‘shower love notes’ before taking these pictures. ;) Shower Love Notes

Shower Love Notes make me smile! This is the funnest way to keep a romance alive. Someone gave me a box of shower crayons for my bridal shower almost 8 years ago {yikes}! -Now, the first thing I do when I hop in the shower is look for a new love note ‘to me: from him’. Sometimes they are just a simple ‘I love you’, sometimes its a note of encouragement, sometimes its a ‘thank you’, and sometimes it just may be suggestive. ;) You get the idea!

Shower Love Notes

You can get Crayola BathTub Crayons at  CrayolaStore.com. I used to find them at Walmart, but they’ve been missing lately. I’ve noticed crayola markers there, but they just don’t work the same (they bleed). Maybe try Target? -BurbMom has a recipe for shower paint that you could also give a try (If you try it, let me know if it ‘writes’ well)!

Shower Love Notes

I always keep several of these on hand in my ‘gift box’ to give out as bridal shower gifts (usually paired with towels, bubble bath, loufas, etc).

Shower Love Notes

If you are stuck trying to find Valentine ideas , this very affordable and sweet Valentine’s day gift is perfect! Get ready for a playful romance.

Updated * Congratulations to Kathy Stephenson, Jane T in Louisiana and Janick Desjardins on winning sets of shower crayons. I just emailed you, so please respond with you address asap. :)

Here’s to getting a ‘little dirty’ while getting clean! ;)

  18. Laura Farnsworth says:

super cute idea!! another idea I got from a marriage cd that I got was to keep a notebook where you write love notes or thank you notes in with your spouse. I have started it with my husband. We write each other cutsie notes and then leave it for the other on the kitchen table or night stand for the other to read and return a note. That way we have all the cute notes in one place to save.

  19. Tara says:

OMG – I love these! My boyfriend and I live together and work opposite shifts so we barely cross paths until 8-9pm. This would be the perfect for us to let each other know how much we care & are thinking of the other <3

    Thanks HowDoesShe!!

  24. Michelle says:

Hi there! I tried the Crayola brand crayons and was disappointed. Whenever I’d try to write a note to my sweetie, they wouldn’t work on my tile…perhaps my tile is too glossy. The writing would come out really faint and then the steam in the shower would make it run. Oh well….would love to give it a try with another brand though. Love the idea!

When I read the original post long ago I have been doing this ever since for my hubby. We don’t use the same bathroom so I sneak in while cleaning with the shower crayons (which I snuck from my kids bath toy container) and started writing a few messages each time. He hasn’t reciprocated once but I really enjoy doing this for him.

  101. Elizabeth B says:

I love this idea. Hope I win!
