Sharing 8 Autumn Ideas
November 16, 2010 by Bobbi
Autumn ideas have been over flowing
on the IShare sites!
I think I’ve mentioned (once or twice…or a dozen times) how luscious this season is to me. I can understand exactly what George Eliot meant when he said, “Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns”. Well, I’m not a bird who can fly around looking for autumn after autumn, but I can fill my mind with all of your amazing Fall ideas! Who knew there are so many wonderful ideas out there for this season? Have you just been basking in the autumn glory, like I have been? I can’t get enough. Here is a taste of what has been happening on ishare!
Subway art has been so popular and I love this version submitted by Craft Goodies! My family is definitely on the top of my “thankful for” list, and what better way to display your family traits than on a piece of subway art like this? Nice!
Mod Podge Amy has once again caught my eye with her bright, vibrant art work. I loved this refurbished key portrait the second that I saw it. It might be because I’m slightly in love with the color combination of turquoise and lime green…or it could be that keys are the key to my heart…or that I totally adore ornate frame make overs. Whatever the reason… I super DUPER love this.
IShare Printables has been bursting with amazing Fall submissions. Monika Wright submitted this elegant Fall word art that looks amazing paired with some simple autumn patterned papers. It just adds a nice touch to your home decor. Imagine switching out the papers/word art for each season! Gorgeous.
Shindig Parties To Go submitted a beautiful gift tag that adds that personal touch to party favors, gifts, or even place settings this Thanksgiving! It makes showing our love and gratitude for those we cherish THAT much easier.
After that HUGE and SCRUMPTIOUS turkey dinner, you are definitely going to be asked for your baked yam recipe, or how to make that amazing pumpkin pie. Anders Ruff created JUST the thing to have on hand! These adorable “From the kitchen of…” cards would be the perfect item to jot down those home grown recipes to give to your friends and family… unless it’s a secret recipe. Then you could just write it in invisible ink.
I have been really loving the unique recipes being submitted on iShare Fun Food! Blue Bonnets and Brownies submitted this recipe I have to try! Pumpkin Empanadas! Oh, sweet, sweet, empanadas… I hear it calling my name. It won’t be calling long because I plan on shoving it in my mouth presently.
How moist and delicious does this pumpkin bread with streusel topping look? My oh my. You’re killing me. I’m still so stuffed from those pumpkin empanadas. Oh, okay…just one slice.
Or two.

Lizard And Ladybug submitted SUCH a fun idea for using up some of those left over Halloween candies in a Thanksgiving-friendly way! Why not have turkey for the main dish AND dessert? See? ONE more reason why us Canadians need to adopt having Thanksgiving AFTER Halloween.
What Autumn traditions do you share with your family? Do you decorate? What recipes are traditional Thanksgiving dishes that you ALWAYS have? I hope to see many more of your submissions on the iShare sites soon! We all work hard on our creations…why not share them with the world? I know that I’m waiting to visit your links, and glean from your wealth of creative knowledge! Is it time for you U to share on iShare?

These are all great and the I-share sites rock!!

Fun ideas!
What inspiring ideas! Thanks, Bobbi, for linking us to all of this wonderfulness! Our family has all of the classic Thanksgiving food, but for several generations in my mom’s family, we always have sauerkraut (and we’re not German descent!). It’s so good with turkey! And we have our traditional Turkey Bowl at the bowling alley. All of the little kids bowl with the bumpers up and the adults as couples compete on the regular lanes for bragging rights as Turkey Bowl Champ until the next year!
Love the ideas!

Thanks for featuring my thankful word art! Your site brings tons of traffic to my blog so that they can see what other free downloads I have to share with them. A visit with howdoesshe always makes my day better.
You’re the best!
FYI, George Eliot was a woman (born Mary Ann Evans).
Haha! I was just about to write this FYI-fact also! Still, I love the quote, and it pretty much sums up my love of autumn, also:)
