Shake your Seashells!

Seashells in a jar

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is play on the beach.

Unfortunately,  our sandbox is just about as close as we have been to the beach this summer. It’s so sad. So, I invited Bee back to sing us a little summer beach song to help us get a little taste.

But wait first you are going to need a seashell shaker!

It’s really SIMPLE to make! All you need is a clear bottle, sand, and seashells or whatever you want to put inside the bottle to make noise. Let you child help collect these item and then assemble.

Voila!

Okay, I know what you are thinking- Are you crazy- glass!? In theory a glass bottle would be fun to fill up and shake (maybe for the older kids)- But with the real little kiddlets like my two-year-old- plastic is obviously better and super-gluing the top shut is best!

It just wasn’t nearly as fun to make… or photograph. You can use a water bottle or any other clear plastic bottle like this one:

Okay take it away Bee!
