Lovin’ Pinterest. Need an invite?

Do you have folders and folders of awesome crafts, DIY projects, home decor, inspiration photos, furniture, hairstyles, quotes, etc…taking up space on your computer? Do you forget what you have in those folders? Do you want to share your awesome finds with your friends?

Pinterest was created as a place to collect, organize, and share things you love through “pinning”. Your home page shows you what your friends have recently posted onto their boards. {See below photo}. You can repin any of their pins to your own boards.
You can view your own pins…
As well as your own boards. Your boards are where you categorize your finds. As you can see in the screen-shot below, each board has a name: Crafts, Food, Home Decor, etc. Organizing your ideas, projects, and inspiration couldn’t be any easier! {You may also notice that the left column gives you updates of who is following you, who repinned your pin, etc…very handy if you ask me!}
The screenshot below is a view of our “Crafts” board. It lists the most recent pins first but shows all the items in that category. Every pin includes a caption, the number of repins by other people, likes, and the website it originated from – giving credit to where it’s deserved!

I have so many categories on my favorites list because that is the only way I have known how to organize ideas I like. This looks great! I would love a new organization system where I could see pictures rather than trying to remember from a post name. I would start with pinterest by sorting through my favorites list!
I just discovered your site and love it!! Pinterest is the PERFECT website, I think I would start with ideas for my baby boy’s nursery or my 8 year old girls bedroom

I am an Information Junkie and I’m always looking for ways to organize and streamline all of the great ideas out there. As always, HDS is a treasure trove of ideas and amazing offers! I’m quite picky about who I give my e-mail addy to but I’m happy to say that HDS is on the list! I also liked you on FB. Huge thanks as always!
Where would I start, I have about 20 catagories on my computer from making kids toys to making things for the garden. It would be great to be able to have them all in one place and be alot more organized. Then I might actually be able to finish many of the projects I have started and want to start.
Also as a Military family it would be nice to have a place where we can store ideas from the house we currently living in, you see we move every 2-3 years and have lived in some great houses that have some great storage areas or great color schemes. So it would be nice to have something to have all those ideas in, so that when we eventually move to a perminant house or build one we can add those to it. Plus when we move our stuff (computer) takes forever to get to us, so it would be great to be able to log in somewhere and look whats there so we can choose colors we liked for the new house.
That’s an almost impossible question to answer!!! However, I saw this absolutely beautiful garden pic on pinterest that looks so much like what I envision for my own garden, that I think it would be my first pin. But what if I see something equally awesome when I logged on for the first time? Well, all bets are off. I just can’t say for sure WHAT I would pin first!

I would love this!! Such a great idea! The first thing I would pin would be some sort of furniture make over. I’m in the process of sanding down a $12 Goodwill find, and am still trying to decide what the end product is going to look like.

Oh my- not sure what would be my first post on Pinterest. I have so many sites, ideas, blogs, etc under My Favorites , but the scary thing is if my computer crashes I lose all my favorites and I have so many I’ll never remember where I’ve seen all the awesome ideas. It’s also my work pc so it’s probably a good idea to get them off there and posted on Pinterest! I’d probably post craft ideas because most of the one I make and post my friends ask me about- so I’d share those first.

This is such a FABULOUS idea! I have already been doing something like this via Evernote and by creating subfolders in my email client as well as folders on my desktop. Pinterest is the best of all these features and I would love to have access as one of your 20 invitees!
I’m always looking at your blogs for baby/wedding shower and party ideas and having this would keep all of my great finds in order. I have too many folders with my “favorites” and it’s so overwhelming having to go thru them to see why I actually saved them. I need this and help would allow me to focus on creativity rather than spending time searching and trying to organize inspirations.

I’m [cherry] brandy new to blogging world — and would love to start my Pinterest board collection. If I had to choose what my first “pin” would be it’d have to be cellar full of vintage wines. Preferably showing a little bit of dust, as proof of their age. My family are avid wine makers (and drinkers), and in just a couple of weeks we’ll be bottling our 6th batch. This year is a delicious Sangiovese — grapes imported from the Tuscan regions of Italy! Bellissimo.

My first pin would be something photography related. I have so much stuff in my Favorites that I would need to sort through & I would have tons of stuff to pin from there.
