#17 Neighbor Christmas Gift Idea – Pistachios

Everyone is crazy about nuts this time of year! I especially love giving pistachios because it becomes an activity.  I love imagining the recipient chatting with friends, or helping kids to open and toss their pistachios.

This creative gift is a hit for just about anyone {this box was made especially for my dad}.  See the full tutorial and how to make a personalized pistachio gift box, with an area ‘TO EAT” and and area “TO TOSS”.

  8. Super cute idea- but how did you get the paper on the top of the can? Dying to know!

    • Missy says:

It is a little tricky. Measure the top and cut your circle, then just cut a little slit, slide it under the pull tab, and with a craft knife or razor cut around the tab part. Practice with scratch paper then you’ll have a temlate for your cute paper. Hope that helps.

I LOVE how my containers came out for my husband and FIL for Father’s day. I actually liked FIL so much better, but forgot to take a pictures!

I took a picture of my husbands and mentioned you here: http://wasntmyidea.blogspot.com/2011/06/happy-fathers-day.html
