Napkin Dress Tutorial – Perfect for a Shower!

Napkin Dress Tutorial
Our sweet friend Jen came up with this idea! She is totally going to hate us, but we love her so much, we are just going to have to share how adorable she is.
(Looks like her husband loves her too)!
These napkin dresses are such a perfect addition to a baby shower or a bridal shower!
Start by taking each side of your napkin and folding it to the center…
Then fold it in half again…
Cut the arms by making a triangle shape cut…
My napkins were too big for small dresses, so I cut off the top part…
Cut a V angle at the top to create the neckline (shoot, I forgot to take a picture of that,…you’ll figure it out)…
Glue on a bow and Tada! Finished. Seriously easy and seriously cute!
Only problem is that people are going to think these are too cute to wipe their mouths with!
I wanted to try a ‘bridal’ version. Here is what I came up with…
Tell your friends they were super hard to make!
You deserve some glory!
Thank you Jen for making these adorable napkins dresses at my girls’ baby shower and for showing us how to make them!

They are fabulous!
Jen…I love that pic of you and your hubby!
Wow, those are so adorable! Thank you so much for sharing (and of course making me feel very un-talented! just kidding:)) These are very cute and you are very creative!!
You’re right…I want to kill you guys! Not my favorite picture! But, the napkins look cute!
I love the napkins! That was probably the cutest shower I have ever been to. Good job Jen!
oh my goodness! That is so adorable!
These are great. I’m always a fan of easy ideas – I am more likely to start AND finish a project if it is easy. I especially like the trim you chose for the bridal shower version – it adds just the right amount of texture, interest, and elegance. Who would have thought a paper napkin could be elegant? I would never have guessed it could, but you managed to do it. Love it.
Thanks so much for this tutorial. One of my grandsons is going to have a baby, well his wife is, in July and I know what I am going to offer to make for the shower. This is the cutest idea.
Thank you so much for showing an easier way to do this!
I love this!! Thank you so much for sharing.
These are adorable! I am planning a baby shower for a friend of mine, and will be making these! Thanks!! I love this site! I love the picture of Jen also – it is a beautiful picture!
That is darling. What a cute idea you guys!
XOXO
Jen

totally… totally.. totally… CUTE!! since mom’s birthday party is coming this April, I am going to make them (if I succeed, that is). I don’t care if it’s for babies
hehe.
ps. SO GONNA feature this up on my blog
Oi. Interessante o uso que você fez do guardanapo. Acredito que com guardanapo colorido deve ficar muito interessante também. Obrigada pela dica.
I believe that with napkins printed with flowers or other designs should be very interesting too. Thanks for the tip. ( I am from Brasil)

What kind of glue?
I am so happy to have stumbled up on this website!!! I just sent a picture to my sister of the paper napkin dress. I am in love. I wanted something different for my baby shower, and this is it (in a good way). Okay back to cutting up paper (I’m trying the craft out while I’m at work and there is no napkins around) Thank you once again!!!
