Not too shabby really. I actually quite liked it until about three weeks ago when I discovered the Moen Arbor MotionSense Faucet. Now there is no going back.
So what’s so fancy about this faucet anyways? One word: CONVENIENCE. The hands-free MotionSense function is something I never knew I was missing.
Do you see the tiny black ready sensor? This little beauty allows you to wash your hands, rinse a dish, fill a pot or clean veggies all hands-free. It basically knows what task you are trying to accomplish and gives you a little help.
With the ready sensor, it’s simply ready for you when you need it. Filling a pot has never been so easy. Photos speak a thousand words so take a peek at the simple functionality of the Arbor with MotionSense.
Once you walk away, the water automatically turns off.
Of course one of the all-time best uses for MotionSense is washing your hands without touching any germy handles. Truly a mother’s best friend for “wash up” time before dinner.
The lower sensor also means water savings! It will only supply water when something is right in front of it to activate water flow. No one will ever leave the faucet running unnecessarily again.
The top wave sensor is probably a feature you haven’t seen before. Arguably, it is my favorite feature of this fancy faucet.
Simply wave your hand over the top to begin water flow. It will continuously flow until you wave your hand over it again, or it will automatically turn off the flow after about 90 seconds.
Needless to say my kiddos are in LOVE with the magic faucet.
I have been known to start soaking a pan by turning on my old faucet, and walking away for WAY too long. As we all know, motherhood is busy and sometimes turning off the water isn’t a priority. Okay so we give awards to singers, writers and actors why have we not awarded the GENIUS who invented the motion sensor sink for the kitchen? It only makes sense that this technology is brought into the kitchen where germs can be crawling around just as much as a bathroom – hello e coli! When I bake it looks like a tornado went through the kitchen so how nice would it be to have one less thing to worry about cleaning, not even to mention the convenience & time saving bonus. Oh, and lets not forget…..it looks super gorgeous too – it would sure be nice to retire the standard contractor grade stainless faucet of years past. I’m a fan!

Seriously awesome. A mom must have thought of this. A way to get the water started without having to actually touch the faucet, ingenious. If I had that I could help my two year old wash the paint (or whatever else she gets into) off her hands without getting it all over the sink.

Oh my gosh, this would help my family out soooo much, but most especially my husband. He is a midget in a wheelchair due to a genetic disease and it is impossible for him to reach the faucet handle “normally” so he has to first find his pick up stick, then strain to make it reach, then fiddle with the faucet for at least two or three minutes to get the temperature right before he can wash his hands or help me do dishes (which he oddly loves, lol he says it makes him feel accomplished unlike how he felt when he was younger and couldn’t ever help his mom.)

This faucet is amazing!! It was simplify my life in so many ways! First of all, we all know how hard it can be to cook, clean, and just be awesome with out two hands. Hands free access to the sink is so exciting! I have been known to occasionally walk away from the sink while I’m waiting for it to fill up so I can wash dishes. That has proven to be near disastrous on a few occasions… Aside from the amazing sensor on this faucet I love the fact that has a tall neck. The faucet I have now is so close to the sink that it is extremely inconvenient. I have to use the spray nozzle to try and rinse my big pots because I can’t fit them under the faucet. I end up drenched with water all over my kitchen. It would be absolutely amazing to be the proud new owner of this faucet!!!

I live in a house where the previous owners made righty friendly faucets. Thing is, we’re lefties. So this would make our lives easier, especially as our sleeves keep getting wet!!

There are times I do not want to put down the item I want to wash with motion detection I can just wave my elbow in front / under and I have water.
Hubby’s right arm is getting weaker, so motion sensor would help to turn on and off water without pain.

I would love to have a faucet like this. I recently replaced my kitchen faucet and just didn’t take the time to look into the motion sensor type. But it would be extremely helpful when working with things like raw chicken.
Also, I am a fanatic about no spots on my faucet (or anything else for that matter!). Every time I reach up to push the lever on my faucet, water on my hands drips…. and I have to clean the drips…. AGAIN. I wipe those darn things a hundred times a day!
This faucet is not only beautiful but will come in handy as I’m a bit OCD. I wash my hands countless times while I bake or cook.

I would use the amazing faucet when I’m doin my crafts for my new craft business. Washing my hands ‘Hands Free’ would be a blessing as I use spray adhesive and always get it on the faucet when I wash.

Perfect reason to grant me the MotionSense: Chicken Fried Steak Fingers….literally! I start out making Chcken Fried Steak, but, by the end of it all every one of my fingers looks like i am about to cook up my own chicken fried steak fingers. This is great! I am shopping around to redo some things in my kitchen and was looking at faucets this color but didn’t know I could get motion sensor! I hate dealing with meat then touching the faucet. Since I have 1 child with allergies to wheat and dairy, when I do cook with these things I wouldn’t worry about contaminating the faucet with it which means I could clean the rest without spreading it around!
Have faucet clean when I need to wash my hands while cooking. No germs and bacteria will be lying on it. Can do something else while pan is being filled up without worrying of having water overflowing.

I would love this! I am a germafobe (sp?) and I constantly think about what everyone has left on the faucet (eww)! Plus, I love to cook, especially pasta. When I am carrying my big steaming hot pots of pasta over to the sink to be rinsed, I never know how to turn the faucet on (I typically rely on some type of dangerous elbow maneuver, or where to set my pot down without ruining my counter tops. I am going to start saving for this TODAY!
