Make a ‘Thank You’ Plate for Santa!

November 30, 2009 by Alison

cookies-for-santaWhat’s the estimated amount of cookies left out for Santa on Christmas Eve?

84 MILLION!

Whoo Weee!  That’s a lot of cookies!

We think Santa needs to be thanked…so we are having our kids write ‘Thank You’ notes to the man with the white beard!

If you need a plate to hold all the cookies for Santa, here’s what we did to one from the dollar store.thank-you-santa-2

1.  White Dollar Store Plate

2.  Permanent Vinyl (Use your Cricut that you bought this weekend or today for super cheap(at Roberts for only $229 with free shipping)  or call your Vinyl lady)

We are working on finding a vinyl company that sells small orders.  Most want to sell big quantities!thank-you-santa-3

We are ordering some right now from some companies so that I can test the quality of the vinyl and the ’store.’  As soon as HowDoesShe has some reputable companies we will let you know!  If you can’t wait…try etsy.com or search U-Tube.  If you’ve found one let us know!! We will only suggest good companies!

I hand wash my mugs and cups with vinyl on them (although, my daughter has put her mug in the dishwasher and nothing happened).thank-you-santa-1

3.  Apply Vinyl

EASY!!

This would also be cute to give as a neighbor or teacher gift.

More Ideas: Happy Birthday, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, You are special, etc.

Oh, the possibilities!

Hi there. I wanted to let you know that I have a vinyl cutter and will do small orders. I have been doing small projects for about 5 years along with doing many Christmas bazaars. My prices are VERY competitive. You can see some of my work by going to http://www.shadycreekdesigns.blogspot.com/
I would be happy to provide you with some samples also.

    Thanks,
    Connie Hall

  3. I’d be happy to do small orders for Eastern Idaho ladies. I do have permanent vinyl and my inventory is growing all the time. :-)
