Adorable ladybug toe nail tutorial

It’s official…SUMMER IS HERE! Yahoo! Hello sandal season, swimming pool parties, days at the beach, BBQ’s, and bare feet in the grass.

Here is a fun idea to spruce up your toenail flair, with…ladybugs.

All you need is red, white, and black polish.

I used to use a little paintbrush to add the detail onto my nails, until I found this fine tipped brush beauty:

It’s so much easier to use, and the best part…it’s less mess to clean up afterwards!!  (You can find polish like this at most beauty supply stores)

First things first, paint your toenails red or whatever base color you choose. Yellow ladybugs are super cute as well. Orange, green, purple…whatever color, get creative…make a statement!!

Next, take your little detail polish and make a stripe down the center  like this:

Then make a line across the top and fill it in so that you have a solid black tip.

Now, add your little black dots in the red sections, and then two little white dots on the black tip…and you’re done!

Easy, right?  It will make you smile when you look down and see ladybugs on your toes!! :)

Happy Polishing!!

I found your nails at the Skip to my lou link party! I just submitted a barefoot sandal for summer project (they are also red and sparkly!), saw your adorable nails and clicked over. I’m so glad I did! I can’t wait to paint my daughter’s and my toes as little summer ladybugs!!!!

  3. Dawn you have cute feet! This is super fun. Now it’s time for Lydia’s toes:)

I have heard that if you don’t have a small detail type polish brush you can try dipping the head of a pin in the polish and dotting it on the nail too!

This is a super cute idea and really simple. I’m trying it this weekend.
