Jack Frost’s NOT Lost…easy Christmas Neighbor Gift!
December 13, 2010 by Alison
Have you ever played
‘Don’t Eat Pete?’
It’s a fast candy eating, deep down gut laughing toddler game that brings the entire family together.
We posted a different version of this Jack Frost’s NOT lost over on Disney a couple weeks ago, but wanted to make sure you were able to get it too!
This was designed for the slacker in all of us…
easy gift idea for the neighbors!
No cooking and no planning. Quite Simple. I like ideas like this:) Thanks to Heather over at Chick a bug for helping me get this perfect. There were a lot of requests from Disney and we needed to make it perfect. Thanks Heather! Have we told you what big fans we are of Chick a bug!?!…and how much we LOVE her!
We have the link to the download. Just hop on over to Disney to get it and print it out.
It has a game board, instructions and a to/from card.
Don’t forget to ‘like’ it on FB or leave Disney a nice comment…please.
We were all screaming when Disney called…sometimes we act like little girls:)
It tells you exactly how to play it on the FREE download. Even if you don’t make it for the neighbors, make one for your family!
I laminated the game board on top of a scrapbook paper to give it a touch of creativeness.
Punched a hole in the game board and in the instructions and tied them together. I really need to tie all my instructions to games. My kids lose them faster than the game pieces!
Now for the funnest part (so my daughter says), fill the bag with marshmallows. White fluffy sugar…that sometimes doesn’t make it into the bag, but into their mouths. (***note: if giving this to families with small children use m&m’s. Marshmallows can be a choking hazard.)
Cut two circles out of scrapbook paper …make one bigger than the other.
Stack them on top of each other and add a button. I am on a button kick….did you see the 2×4 snowman with the buttons too?
Tape your ‘button’ to the top of the marshmallow bag and…
put them all together. You’ve made a simple fast neighbor gift that will bring out the smiles and small fingers!
This picture took me forever…my little guy kept stealing the marshmallows faster than I could take the picture.
He finally figured out how to get to the marshmallows faster…just open the bag and spill it.
Fun Times!
Merry Christmas. I hope this holiday season brings low stress and fun memories:)
Oh, and if you need more neighbor christmas gift ideas…how about 30 of them.
Or 10 things to do with a block

I’m loving all these great neighborly Xmas ideas!
The kids open one present Christmas Eve. It’s always the present from their siblings. That way those gifts don’t get downplayed in the shuffle the next morning and they can each truly enjoy the giving part.
Christmas Day dinner is always popcorn. We go to the movies and watch a family Christmas movie together.
LOVE this! What a great gift idea. I’m making one for us too…my kids will love it! Thanks so much and congrats on being on Disney!
This is a really cute game idea, but I feel like I have to give a warning about marshmallows. You need to be ever so careful when giving marshmallows to young children. It is a terrible choking hazzard (I know, my son turned blue choking on one once). Marshmallows will form a seal when caught in the throat – the heimlick won’t work, you have to scoop it out with your finger (something you usually don’t do when someone is choking). I read this in Dear Abby just one week before my son choked – if I hadn’t known, he might not be here with me today.
The game is cute, but… PLEASE DO NOT USE MARSHMALLOWS! My 12 yr old neighbor, Casey Fish, died in June of 1999 from asphyxiation while playing a game called Chubby bunny with marshmallows! Spread the word!
Sheila
On June 4, 1999, 12-year-old Catherine “Casey” Fish died after choking on four marshmallows while playing Chubby Bunny. The contest was scheduled for the annual Care Fair held at Hoffman Elementary School in Chicago’s North Shore area. It was to be supervised, but Casey and some of her friends began playing while the teacher was momentarily away. She collapsed, and was taken to Glenbrook Hospital, where she died a few hours later. Fish’s parents subsequently sued the school district and appeared on Oprah to warn about the dangers of Chubby Bunny.
WOW…I didn’t know. Thanks for commenting. Use m&m’s.
Thank You Alison
Hi I LOVE your Jack Frosts not lost board game but I am having trouble finding it on the Disney site. It just jumps me to a main page with columns down the center? Anyway you can post on your side or help me get the template/instructions?
Thanks so much….love all your ideas=) Stacy Ryan
I am not able to click on any of the template links. When it gets to Disney it just goes into this screen with ads down the center. Can anyone help me get to this template?? Thanks so much!! I love it and want to do it for gifts this year=) Thanks, Stacy

What a fun game!!! We have neghbors with small children and I’m going to make a game for each of them! Thanks! Don’t Eat Pete was a favorite of our family, so I’m also making a game for us older ‘kids’to play on Christmas day…we will use the ‘yummy chocolate candy’ for this game!
when you laminated it where did you take it. Just curious if you do it at home or take it somewhere! Love the Laminate idea for neighbor gifts for the children!
I have a home laminator that I got from Walmart for about $20. It worked great:)
I cannot find this template anywhere? Can anyone let me know where they are finding the template and instructions? I click on the links and it goes to this Disney page with ads down the center of it. Any help would be great! Thanks ladies=)
I…WE LOVE this game! I’ve played it with my kids, 8 and 6, and made some for my 8 year old’s third grade class! They had a BLAST playing it so we are making one for each of them to take home with them! Thank you so much for sharing! Mine are all ready to hand out to our friends!
Love this idea. The end product looks so professionally crafted. Well done.
