Our Memory Box – A Romantic Gift

Make a Memory Box

Every year for Christmas, my husband and I exchange one “treasure” gift. This year, I totally won the sentimental contest. {whoot, whoot!} ;) -I didn’t do a post on it, but  it was peeking out in a picture from the post I just did on his Valentine’s gift. Do you see it?!! Make a Memory Box

It is the most beautiful Memory Box to hold all of our sweetest treasures. I spotted these “Memory Keepers” on Paper Coterie and knew it would be the perfect, unbeatable, sentimental gift. ;)

Make a Memory Box

You see, ever since we met, I’ve kept little treasures of our relationship. These little treasures include: love notes, concert tickets, pictures, cards, etc. -These “little” treasures have added up to quite the pile, or should I say FILE, over the years. Ahhhh!!!

This sweet Memory Keeper has solved my “file” problem, and now I have a gorgeous box of treasures. Make a Memory Box

Do you see one of my favorite treasures in there? ;) Can’t beat a good ole’ fashioned candy gram.

Make a Memory Box

I love that you can create and preview all of your Paper Coterie creations, before purchasing them.

I just love how my memory box turned out. Makes me smile every time I look at it. It makes me smile even more when I go through what’s inside of it. :) While organizing our memories, I found a little piece of paper with my husband’s telephone # on it. Brought back a lot of memories. Make a Memory Box

  1. What a cool box and a fun tradition! I might need to get one of those for all the things I’ve kept, too. Great idea. And WOW, how kind of Paper Coteire for giving us $30! I’m so excited to go find something great!!

Your tweet talks about the kitchen-aid winners, but brought me here. Where do I find out who won? Thanks.

  5. Anjanette B says:

Thank you! I just want to say I saw in one of the photos your poem/letter using the conversation hearts candies! Love it! I usually have my students create poems using those candies as a Valentine’s Day assignment, and they always turn out so well!

Question: What web browser do you use? For some reason, I am having a hard time using their website. Maybe I need to use a different browser?

  7. Kate C says:

This is FANTASTIC! I started a project last fall when the last Paper Coterie deal was on, but I never finished and was devastated that my book would never get printed. Thank you, HDS and Paper Coterie, because now I can finish my book!

  8. HA! I’m Not the only one on this Planet that KEEPS all that STUFF!

Last time Howdoesshe gave away $30 to Paper Coterie I used it to get a gift certificate and then when I tried to use the gift certificate it didn’t work. When I contacted them they said, “The gift card was purchased using a promotional code which is not allowed so it was canceled.” I hope it works this time.

    • Shelley says:

Try ordering a product (not gift certificate). You should have no problems as long as your order is $30 or more. :) -Please let us know if you do. They are truly a wonderful company to work with. We will contact them personally if it’s not working for you.

  19. Wow,what a great book!

  20. Shirley says:

I love this idea! My husband and I have literally know each other since we were 4 years old and as we got older kept in contact through letters and cards. Granted, we were just friends and did not start dating until we were in our 20s. I always thought it would be nice to combine our stashes of mementos as a kind of chronicle of how our friendship and romance grew.

  21. Christy says:

Hey Shelley! I just wanted to say thank you for the promo code! I LOVE your blog!!

  22. SamanthaR says:

  25. Andrea says:

Thank you for the Free gift! I just ordered 2 beautiful journals :)

  26. Lea Lawson says:

I was so excited to see this, and I ended up creating the Polaroid Heart poster for our room in the 20×30 size. I am currently in the works of redesigning our room in a DIY, super low budget fashion…and this was perfect! I only had to pay for shipping…and that poster is going to look amazing framed above our bed! Thanks so much for the $30 code!!

  27. Kelly says:

Thank you for the amazing coupon code! I used mine last night- it was my first time using Paper Coterie. I LOVE the variety of projects they offer…I’m eagerly awaiting my project in the mail! :)

This is just what i needed! I’m so glad i found this just in time. Thank you so much! I love the memory box idea! So cute!

  30. Thanks so much! I just ordered journals for each of my kids’ Easter baskets! I’m hoping as they’re getting older and don’t want to talk to Mommy as much, they can still keep a journal going with me so we can write back and forth!

  31. Annemieke says:

Of course I waited until the last minute. The website is having trouble and only displays Valentine’s day cards (no other cards). I contacted them this morning about it and haven’t heard anything from them. Any chance the can extend the coupon code until their site is fixed?

  32. Mary F says:

Thanks for this! I just made a growth chart and I’m really excited to get it! That’s really awesome of Paper Coterie!

  33. Lisa says:

I don’t mean to be ungrateful for a lovely gift like this, but the shipping is a bit high in my opinion. If that is how much they are being charged, then they should look into more affordable options. I love their “One That I Love” series and was considering doing more from that line, until I saw the shipping costs. Adding that to the regular price of the item makes it not worth it to me. They have lovely products though.
