How I learned to get 6 Juice Boxes for 18 cents

When you find a good thing…you just want to share!  Notice the ‘Happy Face’ next to the $0.18 total for 6-3 packs of Tree Top Juice!

Shelley, Missy and I hopped on the ‘couponing’ bandwagon over a year ago. coupon1

We became a little obsessed {and that’s and understatement} with finding the best deals and learning how to stock up on things when they are dirt cheep.  We spent a lot of time researching deals and finding out which stores were coupon friendly.  Then…Tada! Blogs came into our lives…even better…coupon blogs!!! They did all the work that we were already doing.  They gave us in-sites on coupon friendly stores, upcoming deals, how to organize and find coupons, and how to be ethical couponers (there is some gray out there and we wanted to be honest).  Going to jail for coupon fraud was not on our to do list!

A Thrifty Mom was one of the first blogs we started with.  She taught us a ton on couponing and how to stock up.

Needless to say I have cereal, oatmeal and tuna to last me three years{{just so you know I pre ordered it and didn’t clear the shelves}}.  There is a lot of junk food out there that is super cheap, but you don’t have to get everything that’s on sale.  Look for the things you eat and when it’s free or next to free…STOCK UP!!!

Confession: Last night I went to Albertsons{Yes they do know me on a first name basis and bought 9 Aunt Jemima Pancake mix  for FREE {well $0.54 for the blasted tax:}.  Pair it up the the $0.40 pancake syrup, put it in a dollar store bucket, slap on some vinyl and wala a super cute gift for under $2.00.  The confession part:  really they do know my name when I shop:0 Pancakes And where is one of the sites that I learned about this???  Click here to see the sale (today is the last day BTW)

Check out A Thrifty Mom’s site and she’ll tell you where to find the good deals!

coupons How to Clip coupons…ya I learned there is an easier way. I used to take each coupon page out and cut them separately.  Then would try to find all of the matching ones and stack them together…there is an easier way!

I don’t live anywhere near an Albertson’s, but I love reading A Thrifty Mom blog. It was also one of the first couponing blogs I started following when I began couponing a year ago. I love seeing posts of her kids, meals, and projects.

  3. Is this a lot of work? That is what I want to know. My sister wants to do this and I think it could be good, but if I have to spend hours and hours to find good deals I don’t know if it is worth it.

You MUST check out hip2save. It is the BEST coupon and thrifty finds site out there!
