How do you make a Mod Podge video ‘THRILLING”?
January 17, 2011 by Alison
Seriously…how do you make mod pod tips exciting, thrilling and full of adventure? Ummm…not sure. BUT, with at little help from imovies trailer mod podging and Indiana Jones may go hand in hand.
This is the first HowDoesShe real video. Sit back, enjoy, and become pumped up to mod podge in all it’s glory. (ha!)
5 Thrilling tips to Mod Podging
No, really we were just trying to answer some basic mod podging questions. We get a lot of emails on how to do it correctly, so here is the full edition. I was seriously having a bad hair day so I pulled it back in a bun, but it didn’t all get in the bun. The fluff of fuzz on my left shoulder is my hair sticking out. Too bad there is not photoshop in video’s. Maybe there is, but I haven’t found it. So enjoy the fuzz and enjoy the tips!

Now that you are wanting to mod podge something…anything…here are some ideas!

I love that you made a video! I would love more videos! Thank you and enjoy your day!
Mod Podge is awesome. Even the name, Mod Podge, is fun!
I noticed you didnt mod podge on top of all papers to seal them? It doesnt need to? I am anxious to know about that. Thanks.
Hi Kelly
Nope. I dont’ mod podge over the top. I don’t like the tacky feel. It is great to seal your products, but I personally would use something else (there is a big selection of sealers at the craft store) that will make them less tacky.
Hope that helps:)
What brand would work better???? I hate the tackyness also!!
wow – that was great! you made it look super easy! I’ll definitely have to try this out. thanks!!
So helpful! I’ve read your posts, and seeing you do it answered several questions I had. Keep the videos coming

What a great idea to add a video tutorial. I like the second…it’s on a more personal level but the first one is fun.
I really enjoyed the video. It is especially useful if it is a craft I haven’t tried before.Keep up the good work.
PS: I was so into what you were doing, I didn’t notice the music in the background. Of course, I had my own music ( Jimmy Swaggart) going so I couldn’t hear yours anyway.LOL !!

That totally rocked!
That totally rocked!
Video was wonderful however I found the music to be too much on top of the talking even though it is a nice song.
Very nice! I love the video. It makes following along so easy and it seems faster than reading through instructions. I think I remember better, too. Thanks so much for sharing! I hope to see more of these in the future!
Videos make it so much easier for me to understand. Thank you!
I agree the video helps and makes it so much easier to understand. Keep them coming and thank you again for sharing your talent with all of us.
Great video tutorial – I now realize I use to much Mod Podge on my projects! (I end up having a huge mess with Mod podge everywhere – LOL) I will use a little less on future projects. Thanks again!
I have now learned the proper way to use mod podge. I love the stuff but have had mixed results with my projects. Thanks for the tips as I will certainly be using them. I also enjoyed the video format.
Looking lovely as ever! I vote for more videos!
Very helpful tips. I didn’t know about the squeeze out the glue step. Was that a special mod podge squigy thing-a-ma-gidgey? Where can I get one? I vote for more videos:)
HI Sandy
YOu can use a pan scraper or a credit card. The squigy thing-a-magidgey can be found here:

Thanks for the vote too:)
Very nice, thanks!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the video tutorial, please make more of them in the future!
I loved the video!!! I wish I watched before I did my 5 blocks.LOL
Thank you
I’m an old fashion painter…I use stencils and paint instead of vinyl. I’m thinking vinyl would be a lot quicker, but i’m wondering how do I make sure the vinyl stays on the wood if I don’t modge podge? I’ve seen products where the vinyl is lifting off the wood and it just looks tacky. Is there something I can apply over the vinyl to insure it doesn’t peel off the wood? Thanks so much!!!
Hummmm…I don’t know. I have not had a problem. I have heard of some people who get a sealant spray at the craft store. I don’t think I would do mod podge..it’s too tacky as in sticky, not ‘uncool’:).
Thanks for the video! I was looking all night for one…I’m a first timer.
I’m a very visual person, videos work great for me ~ great job for the first one!
Great video. I’m excited to do my first mod podge craft. One question, please: What if I wan to mod podge a photo? Do I use the same technique or does anything change?
Thank you so much!
It’s the same:) Try it on a test photo first though to make sure you’ve got it! Fun times!!
Loved the video. Very clear and makes me belive i can do it too. Well done. Keep it up:)
This is so cute! Very simple but quite relaxing and happy!…I ll do it!
How did you do that movie! I use the basic iMovie on my apple mac but that was great where did you get that from?
Hello! Where do you get the vinyl sayings/wordings? I would love to try this project!! The video tutorial is helpful.
Thank you,
MJ
I love the video. I am new to your site but loving what I am seeing and finding so far. Thanks for the great tips. I agree the modge podge over the top isn’t great. I’ve had some made for me and when I store them you have to be careful to not put anything by the paper because it sticks and rips off.
