High School Flashback Party – Apartment Guide’s Challenge
March 8, 2011 by Shelley
Apartment Guide challenged us to ‘create an entertainment area or tablescape and throw a party in that space, within the next 10 days’. Talk about a time crunch! I’ve been so excited to show you the results from all of your suggestions!!! Make sure you read to the end of the post because there is a surprise especially for you!
One High School Flashback Party coming right up…
The main inspiration behind this high school flashback party was,… Cafeteria Trays. I couldn’t get them out of my mind. I HAD TO HAVE THEM, or this party would not go on!
Once I found them, I was full speed ahead.
Thanks to all of our facebook friends who gave cafeteria food suggestions. I incorporated as many as I possibly could. This seriously was the tastiest ‘hot lunch’ EVER!
My absolute favorite part about this gathering was the participation. Each guest provided several High School pictures (some willingly, some not so willingly) to help set the mood. Their CLASSIC photos were used as party photo garland.
The guests arrived dressed as High School stereotypes. Everyone was immediately drawn to the FABULOUS flashback pictures of their friends.
Then we played SPIN. THE. BOTTLE.
No sickos! Not like “the REAL” version. Sheesh! We were are all happily married here!
In this modified version, the two party guests were competing in a high school challenge. From spelling words to cheerleading stunts, we had this crowd flashing back.
The night wouldn’t have been complete without everyone having their YEARBOOK picture taken…
The results…
Don’t worry. Rob’s scary teeth were fake. Thank goodness.
I think it’s fair to say we had a blast.

Have I convinced you to have a High School Flashback Party of your own? Well if so, you are in luck! I had Chickabug (of course) design the high school printables for this party. She generously decided to offer ALL of the printables, to you, for F.R.E.E. Thank you Chickabug! You ROCK! -You can download your FULL free set of High School Party printables here. *Apartment Guide just randomly provided a $100 gift card to Stacy for commenting on this post! Stacy said “I think this is such a cute idea…I especially liked the cute cheerleader couple! I think I might have to throw a party like this especially since chickabug designed all that I need to pull it off…i LOVe you HowDoesShe!” Congrats Stacy! We just emailed you!*

It wasn’t anything fancy. We just had challenges for the two people based on ‘highschool’ themes. Spelling B’s, Cheerleading stunt, Science questions,…. you get the idea. I am sure you could google some fun ideas too!
Let us know how it goes.
