I have teenage boys, 17 and 16, will this information be helpful for this age group? My 17 year old turns off his hearing the minute he hears the sound of my voice...loud, soft, angry, or happy. (At least it seems that way!)

I completely forgot about this until today. Unfortunately my 23 month old had a hospital stay overnight on the 18-19th and I was busy with him.
