Free Happy Birthday Cards
March 9, 2010 by Alison
I totally know this is what my grandma does for organizing and remembering birthdays. She orders cards, addresses, and stamps them. The first of each month she sends them out. She has never forgotten a birthday! She has oodles of grand kids and she remembers every one of us. Some of them are just signed and dated{{the date part cracks me up…maybe she does this years in advance, but whatever they still come with love}} Missy did a post on this a couple months ago…about being ‘birthday’ organized so I ordered 50 over sized Free Post Cards and turned them into Happy Happy Birthday Post Cards from Vista Print. This how they turned out. Fresh, Fun, New, FREE birthday post cards that are addressed and ready to be sent.
My happy family all sat around the table addressing and stamping wonderfully scripted notes to all of our loved ones. We ate pink cupcakes and sang songs as we laughed about the exciting birthday parties we’ve attended…whatever…my son kept throwing the pile of addressed letters on the floor and my 5 year old was screaming because the stamp wasn’t going in the right spot. And cupcakes…ya right…I was lucky to get dinner done that night! BUT…the post cards are ready to go and I hope I can bring a smile to the ones I love on their birthday!

how much does shipping end up being? just curious…
Whaty a great idea! Thanks. Being better with birthdays was one of my goals for this year. This should help me out a bunch!
Andrea,
I chose slow shipping {21 day} & it was less than $7.00 for mine.
Great idea – thank you for sharing!
I just got mine in the mail today – love them!
You crack me up…I really was believing you when I read that you were all sitting around the table laughing, singing and eating cupcakes!
I orderd mine and yes, the shipping was 6.56! Not bad for 100 cards!
okay, having birthday cards printed? totally brilliant. seriously, best idea ever. i can’t wait to try.
I love the idea for birthday postcards. I did something similar, ordering personalized postcards from the same vendor, only they are thank you cards from my daughter. And on the back I had printed “An original work of art from ‘my daughter’s name’ to thank you for your kindness” and I let her scribble all over it (she is only two). When she wants to color something I give her these and then I have a bunch ready to go when I need to send out thank you’s.
So, I just made “Thank You” Cards doing the same thing. Such a good idea! I already ordered them, but I was wondering how much postage the oversized postcard requires? Is it the postcard amount (28 cents) or the regular letter amount? Thanks for the great idea!
So, I just went to the post office and asked that question; they are the full postage amount. They said the maximum postcard size (for postcard postage) is like 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 or something similar to that size.
Thanks! I created my own and posted them here: http://livingmividaloca.com. Thanks so much for the idea.
