Thanks Alison…we used the questions every day last month and our 11 year old even wrote some of his own to ask. Can’t wait to start the new list.

Thanks! We have enjoyed these in our house. They are great conversation starters and the kids love having something routine to do at dinner.

My 5 yr. old son loves playing this. Especially when G’ma and G’pa visit.

I also used this as a teacher appreciation gift for his teachers earlier this month! Thanks for the great ideas!

Well, aren’t I lucky? I just started following your blog and got this in my inbox and I get the first 5 sets all at once! My kids are 9 & 13 and dinner time is usually sacred in our house, especially since Dad works evenings 3 nights a week. Every now and then we’ve done something different and fun at the table, like “Act like the person on your right” (something I made up) and my kids totally love it. I’m thinking this would also be great for going OUT to eat. The kids get bored waiting for the food, or my teenager is buried in his ipod touch. Thanks so much for coming up with all the fun questions! I can’t wait to play!

  9. Rebecca says:

thank you so much for these! my 7 yr. old especially loves them, but my 4 year old enjoys them also. i haven’t printed new ones for a while (had done #2 to begin with??), but everytime we sit down to dinner they beg for the dinner questions. my 7 year old has even been known to sneek a peek ahead he is so excited for them! thanks for understanding the importance of family time!

  10. Trish says:

Thank you so much for this! I am making these for christmas gifts this year! I love this idea!!

  11. Ann says:

We love these and have used them all! Need more questions. We’ve thrown in a few Bible verses too and it makes great family time.

  12. Andi says:

Thanks for doing these. My kids LOVE them! The problem is that we have to do 2 or 3 for every meal, so we need more!!

  13. Gina A. says:

I just found this post and I’m so excited…I have a really good friend who is always the hardest for me to buy Christmas gifts for because she’s amazing and I always try to think of something special and personal. Her and her husband and kids would love this idea…so I’m going to make them a jar with their family name etched on it and put this all together for them for Christmas…..You just saved me a lot of stressing out. Thanks! Love the idea!

  14. Dawn says:

Thanks for the “food for thought” questions!

  15. Kathryn says:

Brilliant ideas. I’m not very good at journal-keeping, but I’m going to try using these questions and write out their responses. I think it would also be fun to ask the same questions again in a year and see how my kids’ responses change as they age… Thanks!

  16. libbywilko says:

Thanks we are looking forward to answering these over dinner.
