1st day of school teacher gift idea
hello!
we are the sisters fromeighteen25
and we are beyond thrilled to be posting over here on the awesome blog how does she!
we’d like to share an idea for the first day of school.
just a little gift for the teachers.
your kids will be getting an A+ before they are even asked to pick up a pencil!
1st day of school teacher gift idea
what you’ll need:
a chinese take out box. (we picked ours up at michael’s craft store)
fortune cookies.  (you can find them at smart n final or albertsons)
a 4″ scalloped circle.
a sheet of tissue paper.
ribbon.
optional: milk chocolate melts and sprinkles/jimmies.
now all you need to do is:
print your label and cut it out. (we used a 3″ circle punch)
glue the label to the scalloped circle and attach to the front of the box.
add the sheet of tissue paper to the bottom of the box.
and fill it up with fortune cookies.
tie a bow on the handle.
it’s as simple as that…
now if you want to earn extra credit:
follow the instructions on the bag for melting the chocolate.
dip half of the cookie in the chocolate and then set it on some wax paper.
while the chocolate is still wet. sprinkle on some sprinkles or jimmies.
then wait for the chocolate to harden and fill your boxes with them.

Loved it and made it for my girls preschool teachers this past week! Thanks so much for a great, fun idea.

  19. Oh, I absolutely love it! Wish I had found you a few weeks ago before my girls started school! I stockpile those little take-out containers because I used to bake cupcakes in them as part of my specialty cake business. Mind if I share a link to this post on my Back-To-School traditions page? I figured that activity on my Back-to-School post would have cooled by now, but my stats are still showing that it’s getting loads of hits. A link to your post would definitely be a quality addition to the mix that’s already there.

Thanks so much for sharing this… I am doing a Fall Staff Appreciation luncheon for our elementary school. I am using this idea to bless our 60 teachers and staff as a “take away” goody after the catered luncheon. I’ll be filling it with “White Chocolate Trash Mix” by Alton Brown (Food network) and topping it off with a fortune cookie. Can’t wait to see the teachers’ smiles!
