Easter Oreo Suckers

I was stressing about what to make for this featured post (with all of these fancy shmancy bakers envolved and all). Then it dawned on me! Back to an easy HowDoesShe basic! Oreo Cookie Suckers with an Easter twist. Wouldn’t these be adorable in kids easter baskets? Bring on Spring!
{I’ve often gawked over Bakerella’s CakePops on a stick, but I just know they’d end in diaster if I attempted them, so this is my ‘HowDoesShe’ easified version. Ya, Ya,…easified is a made up word,…deal with it}.
I used the our EASY Oreo Sucker Tutorial with a few small changes…
I started with Golden Chocolate Oreo’s because I was going to be using light colored melting chocolate.
I am sure regular Oreo’s would work fine too,…I just decided to switch things up a little.
Decorating supplies I used:
1. 1/4 Icing Eyes
2. Orange Jelly Beans or Willy Wonka Giant Nerds (jelly beans can be found in bulk at Winco or buy a package on the candy aisle). I couldn’t decided which one I liked best. What do you think?
3. Pink Heart Sprinkles
4. Wilton Yellow Candy Melts 
5. Wilton White Jimmies
For the Easter chicks, I dipped the cookies in yellow melts, placed them on wax paper, did a swirly hair detail, added eyes, and used a half of a jelly bean for the beak…EASY…
For the Easter Bunnies, I dipped them in white melts, added the eyes, heart sprinkle nose, and piped melted chocolate for the mouth. For the ears I placed a bit of warm melting chocolate on wax paper, and added 4 sprinkle hearts. I let them harden (I put them in the fridge to speed up the process). I then pasted them on the bunnies face with a little more melting chocolate. Make sense? I am sure there are a bjillion other things you could use as ‘ears’ too.
These make me smile,…and laugh a little,…I don’t know why.
My two year old thought it was soooo funny to bite off the bunnies ears. He would giggle and say ‘that’s silly mommy’. Cutie pie.
To finish up, I wrapped them individually in treat bags. They are ready to be placed in Kids Easter Baskets or handed out to friends. 
Easy! Easy!

I love the Oreo Pop idea! I will definitely have to make those one day…I have done chocolate dipped oreo cookies before with the wilton chocolate melts but never thought to put them on a lollypop stick! Genius! Pure genius!

Adorable cookie pops!!! I would never have thought to use oreos,and would have just ruined them trying to make my own cookies! I have made successful rice krispie treat pops and wonder how they would do made like this!?? The apron is too cute as well!!! Of course anything that is a throwback to Lucy is great!!

Yay! Are you using food coloring? I’ve heard chocolate doesn’t take food coloring well and to use the colored discs. Let me know if it works for you!
