Be a dating diva

Sometimes I feel like I am just plain not romantic enough.  Please tell me I am not the only one?! I am totally, crazy mad, in love with my man, yet I sometimes treat him like a room-mate {gasp}!   Children, errands, dinner, money, diapers, work, LIFE sometimes gets in the way.  Dating Divas to the rescue!  I can’t even tell you how delighted I was to find their romance blog.  It’s all about getting back to the basics of being in love.

Dating Divas was started by “12 fabulous Divas who all had the same problem: Each of them was married to a super-duper hottie, of course, but they were discovering that they were letting LIFE take over and they weren’t focusing on their husband as much as they would like.” {Sound familiar?! It’s like they were talking to ME}. They quickly came up with a romance plan.  The 12 Divas decided to take turns creating super fun, creative and inexpensive ideas each week.

I got lost in their website, taking notes on my ‘romance plan of attack’!  Here are a few of my favorite ideas:
Do you forget to say the small things sometimes?  I do! “I Love You?”, “Thank You?”, “Your toosh is ridiculously cute!?”  It’s time to let our men know we appreciate and love the small things. Kristen created printable love notes and made the most adorable love note tear pad.  Love notes to be left all over the house.  You can grab your free downloadable love notes and get the tutorial on making the notepad here.
Another one of Kristen’s posts, ‘Does Your Man Still Got It?‘, really made me think.  My man definitely still ‘has it’,..take a peek. {he’s going to kill me…}

I know! He is totally hot, right?!  I’m going to make sure he knows it!  What a great idea.  Check out all the details here.
How about a little group fun?!  Have you watched ‘Minute to Win It?’  Erika posts about throwing a ‘Couples Minute To Win it Party‘.  I am so planning this get together with some friends. {Start Practicing!}

You can find another ridiculously fun Couples Date Night Idea here.
Lastly, I spotted this idea by  Lisa, and it totally melted my heart.  Her husband came home from work to an empty house and this sweet note.

(I guess you wouldn’t call that a romantic date, but it showed some major love.)

The Divas have some exciting upcoming additions including:
*Weekly: Romance Ideas- Quick & Easy ideas for the mom/wife on the go
*Weekly: Crafty Tutorials- Crafts to enhance either your relationship, something you can do with him or for him, or something to display in your home.  They will all relate to improving your relationship!
*2x/month: Intimate Moments- Ideas/tips to help improve your relationship “in the bedroom” as well as keep those butterflies coming!
*2x/month: Kid’s Korner – Ideas/suggestions on keeping the romance alive while there are still kids in the home.
*1x/month:  Reviews- Review on something romantically helpful.  A marriage book, CD, website, etc.
I mean, really. Isn’t this what it is all about?   “Marriage is not a noun; it’s a verb. It isn’t something you get. It’s something you do. It’s the way you love your partner every day ” –Barbara De Angelis. The base of our families is our marriages.  I love the idea of giving mine a little more TLC.
Am I totally overwhelming you with all of this creativeness?  Obviously, there is much more where that came from. Thank you Dating Divas for sharing your romance ideas with us.  I WILL be stalking your blog for updates.

    Hummm.... I may have to stop by and look through their ideas. I have been accused of being romantic before. I would consider myself a hopeless romantic as most ideas don't work out quite right. Maybe this will help.
