Stunning Flower Cupcake Centerpiece

I am so glad some of you cute gals spotted this Cupcake Flower Centerpiece in my Sweet Shoppe Birthday Post and asked me for a tutorial.  I’m totally flattered, BUT I sort of don’t want to tell you.  It was so incredibly easy that you might not be as impressed?! ;) Stunning Flower Cupcake Centerpiece All you need is a Large Zig Zag Pot, a floral foam ball (cut in half), a tapered candle, seasonal flowers, and ribbon. Stunning Flower Cupcake Centerpiece Simply put the floral ball in the Large Zig Zag Pot, the candle in the foam ball, and start covering your ball with seasonal flowers.  Tie a bow for a finishing touch.  Be sure to wet your foam ball if you want your cupcake flower centerpiece to last a few days. Stunning Flower Cupcake Centerpiece Snowball bushes were in full bloom during this party!  I was so pleased with how it turned out using these white little flower balls! {Especially since I snipped them from my cousins yard for FREE}! :) I am sure just about ANY flower would look adorable. Stunning Flower Cupcake Centerpiece Stunning Flower Cupcake Centerpiece Wouldn’t this be the funnest gift for a friend on her birthday!?  Or how about a cute touch for a baby shower, bridal shower, or birthday celebration!?  And if you make one, I want to see!  Cupcakes AND flowers make me smile…the perfect combination if you ask me.

They are SO adorable! It looks like you bought them from a fancy shmancy florist!

  2. Those are cute! Simple yet so beautiful. One thing I might suggest is to use floral foam for real flowers. It is the same concept but the foam holds water so that your flowers stay pretty longer. You just soak it in water, how long I don’t know, but longer enough for it to get water logged, and then add your flowers. They were such a great addition to the table design, beautiful job.

I have twin boys and cupcakes are always a theme for their individual cakes, you know, the really large cupcake cake pans. I am going to do one of these flower cupcakes for their next birthday party. A little girly for them, but as a Mom, I still want their parties to look nice, not just trucks and dirt;)

  35. Nellie says:

WOW! I was searching online for some cupcake centerpiece ideas just 2 days ago as I help prepare for my grand-baby’s cupcake 1st birthday in 2 weeks. My daughter asked me to come up with something since she knows that I am crafty, however, I am not that creative when it comes to those types of ideas so I went to the old-faithful internet and there you were. I showed her and she and I were absolutely stunned at how simple, yet so elegant and dainty the centerpieces are. I’ve already ordered the zig zag pots and will spray paint the pink to pastel pink and will make red and pink potted cupcakes. I will also use artificial white hydrangas for the flowers. Thank you so much for your creativity and thoughtfulness to share and for this site to allow us to all share ideas. I will keep in contact and also I would like to post a picture of the completed cupcake centerpieces. I just need to figure out how – the party is in about 2 weeks. A similar concept may be used for valentines, etc.

i recently made the “cupcake Flower Centerpieces”for my daughter’s 2nd bday party in May . I did not have access to snowball bushes so i improvised and used silk hydrangeas in the color of white, pink and green. I used them as centerpieces for all the tables and on the candy bar station table as well. we received many compliments. thanks for sharing such a great idea!

  40. They are so sweet. Love it!

  41. lisa says:

what size foam ball should I get fot the large pot

  43. Lema says:

  44. Rose says:

Hi Shelly, I love your post thank you so much.
I wanted something like this that I could use over and over again. I found inspiration in the sand saucers we created when I was a child in New Zealand. I invented the Fleur Daily Cupcake Vase. It is completely reusable and flexible plus it is made from the same material baby teethers are made from and it does not use floral foam so it is safer to use for everyone but especially children. They are quick and easy to decorate for DIY weddings. Check them out at cupcakevase(dot)com

  45. flowers uae says:

I would check ebay first to see if you can find someone selling cupcake trees, or you could check bridal websites for brides selling stuff too. Are you also serving sheet cake or anything or are the cupcakes the actual wedding cake? other than the dummy cake of course. if you’re serving the cupcake as wedding cake you may run into problems. I can go into them with you if that’s the case. Thanks

  46. Cara says:
