Bucket O’ Chalk
October 12, 2010 by Alison
Oh you sad soul. White, plain and boring.
Did I mention I got you from the dollar store?
All you need is some ‘fluff’, some love and of course, some vinyl!
I needed a bucket to put some of the homemade chalk into.
A cute gift idea for a friend.
So on with the fluff. Some tissue paper from Target. Bright green, white, blue and a touch of yellow. It’s looking cute.
Polka Dots (Missy would approve), name and ‘Bucket of Chalk’. For the polka dots, I just cut out round circles and applied them like a sticker.
The ‘bucket of chalk’ is a teen font and the Skold’s is a Peas for fonts, Bonnie Script.
HA! And then to top it off there was even a blue one…that needed love too.
Cheap gifts
(but the recipient will NEVER know).
Cute Stuff.
Oh, and can I just tell you how excited I am about our new stamp on our pictures!?!
We’re linking up to these wonderful parties. Thanks ladies!

Those look so cute (and not cheap at all!)

I just found this from HOH and it is such a clever idea! I see those types of buckets all the time on the target dollar aisle too! I have a silhouette to cut vinyl so I may have to try this out. I really like your blog!

Alison ~ The bucks are wonderful. What an awesome job on re-vamping them! Love them
My question is – what $1 store? Dollar General, Store, etc.
Thank You…Lynn
It was a dollar store called ‘Honks’. It was up in Boise, ID off 5 mile:)
Bucks – how funny! LOL Must have been thinking of the dollar stores when I typed that.

So here you go: The “buckets” are wonderful…
super cute idea! love it!
Here I am months later finding this post…I love this idea. This is perfect for the summer and birthday presents for little girls. You can fill it with bubbles, chalk..all kinds of summer fun items. Thanks for the great idea!
I love this idea! We are redoing our back patio and I want to add a bucket to keep all the kiddos chalk in one place and this is exactly what I am going to do! THanks for sharing!
