8 Valentine Decor Ideas With ‘Heart’!
January 25, 2011 by Bobbi
Hi HowDoesShe Gals!
Love is in the air, can you feel it? I can, even through the freezing wind and blinding snowstorms! Maybe that’s why Valentine’s day is in February – another excuse to cuddle up close with someone you love in this cold weather. {wink, wink}
Do you decorate your house for Valentine’s Day? It’s not something I’ve done much in the past. Maybe I’m still hibernating from the aftermath of Christmas and New Years, I don’t know, but ‘Love Day’ has been sorely neglected at my place. That, my friends, is changing this year! Thanks to the inspiration overload happening on the Ishare sites, I feel totally empowered in the Valentine Decor realm. Seeing projects that others have made, and having the step-by-step instructions at my disposal make it all seem POSSIBLE! I can’t wait to give these Love Day Decor ideas a try. I hope you will, too!
I am a photo fanatic, so any decor item that can incorporate photos into gets my vote! A fabulous blog, eighteen25, submitted this precious heart shaped photo garland idea that I MUST try out ASAP! Now to whittle down my photos so the garland doesn’t reach across Canada!
Infarrantly Creative has been creative once again with a ‘sweet’ Valentine advent idea that is sure to win over the chocolate lover in your house. Is there any way I could make one that would fit full-size dove chocolate bars?
Creative Goddess shares a great way to use up those paper scraps and create a work of art at the same time! I love how fresh and fun this is, and I think it would look adorable in my daughter’s room all year round!
Wreaths aren’t just for Christmas anymore! How did I just discover this? Madigan Made shows us how to make this beautiful heart-shaped wreath out of paper doilies. Smart AND beautiful!
Or, you can try this idea submitted by Craftaholics Anonymous. Transform old t-shirts into these unique pom-poms, perfect to adorn your doors or windows for Valentines day. Isn’t that frame the perfect touch? I just love this.
Will you kill me if I put a plug in for my OWN creation? Remember how I said I have never decorated for love day? Well, this was my weak first attempt. I am a digi girl, so the easiest decor idea for me is a printable. Stick it in a frame, switch it out, easy! I love this quote, so I thought it would make a fun Valentine decoration in pink, or a simple decor accent for any time!
I also have to share another fun Valentine’s advent idea where you can hide slightly larger treats! Creative Juices not only shows us how to make a countdown out of a muffin tin, but even shares the countdown printables with us. Bonus!
And, finally, Less Cake {More Frosting} shares a super simple but elegant printable that is perfect for this time of year. She offers it in 3 different color combinations, too. There will definitely be something for everyone!
So, you’ve convinced me to try my hand at some Valentine’s Day decorations. Congrats! If this just barely whet your appetite, you will find many more fun and unique craft ideas on all three of the Ishare sites! Hop on by and be prepared to be inspired!
If you have some fun ideas to share (and I know you do!) take a moment and submit your ideas. We are WAITING to be inspired by YOU! Have a great one, and keep on crafting!

I’ve never decorated for valentines day because I think most store decorations are tacky. I love these do-it yourself ideas. I especially love your printable quote. I think I may do that.
Valentine’s Day is my birthday, so I get excited to see clever Valentine’s decorations. There have always been lots more ideas out there for other holidays, so it’s cool to see great V. Day ones. I really don’t mind sharing my birthday with Valentine’s Day because what a great theme it has – love!
Ummmm…..ARE YOU SERIOUS!!???? Thank you SO much for mentioning my little printable hearts. I’m kind of flattered beyond description. I adore your blog. Thank you so much for the opportunity to submit printables to you gals. I consider it a huge privledge! Thanks again!
