8 LOVE-LY recipes to treat your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day!
January 10, 2013 by Bobbi
It is just over a month until Valentine’s Day, and I have a question.
Is it true what they say, that a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach?
If food really can show your sweetheart how much you care, then you will love all of the amazing recipes and meal ideas found on IShare Fun Food!
Today I’m sharing just 8 of your submissions that have caught my eye, and have me planning the perfect meal for my Valentine! Let’s take a peek!
1.Strawberry Mousse With Mascarpone Cheese
All I can say is, if my husband surprised me with THIS dessert – he would be in VERY good standing with moi! How amazing does this look? And, hey, if I have to make it – he will think I’m so amazing that he’ll offer to do the dishes. Either way – I’ll be having a fantastic Valentine’s Day!
2. PB&J Cupcakes
Comfort food at it’s finest, for sure. Impress your sweetheart by your mad skillz in the kitchen when you prepare these Peanut Butter and Jam cupcakes with…get this…homemade jam. Yeah, I went there! And YES you can do it! Fabulous tutorial and photos from “The Candid Appetite”. Besides, your loved one is worth it!
3. Edible Tic-Tac-Toe
Put some actual Xs and Os into this Valentine’s Day by creating this incredibly simple (and edible) game! This just makes me smile
Even packing a lunch can be made extra special for the one you love, simply my cutting sandwiches and fruits into shapes like hearts and flowers! A little creativity goes a long way in helping your sweetheart feel special and loved
If they are having lunch at home, surprise them by making “heart” dogs, complete with an adorable little ketchup heart to dip it in!
6. Cookies & Cream Stuffed Strawberries
Think about it. Chocolate cookies, whipped cream, and strawberries. All dipped in chocolate and made to look insanely delicious. What is there not to like?
7. Fudgey Peanut Butter Hearts
For an after-dinner treat, these fudgey peanut butter hearts are not too sweet, but incredibly tasty. Shall we have some? Yes, please!!!
8. Shrimp Skewers With Ginger, Lime, and Fresh Basil
Don’t the title and photo say it all? I want this. The end.
It’s true what they say – that a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. I would amend it to say that the way to ANYONE’S heart is through their stomachs. I know that is true for me. It’s not just the amazing flavors that you get to experience (though that really helps), it is also the knowledge that someone loved you enough to spend the time to make you something special to eat. Doesn’t it feel amazing?

My hubby is going to love those peanut butter hearts! Yummy!
P.S. On #8… if you place the shrimp “facing” each other on the skewers it forms a heart shape =)
