7 Patriotic Decor and Gifts
June 22, 2011 by Bobbi
So, I’m Canadian, eh, and we celebrate our National Holiday (wait for it….CANADA day) on July 1st…a few short days before the big hoot ‘n’ holler that is Independence Day in the USofA! It seems to me that this is the PERFECT time to share some out of this WORLD Patriotic decor and gift ideas! If you see something you like, but you aren’t American…get creative! Adapt the idea to fit with your own National colors and themes. The possibilities are endless!
If you aren’t American, I’d love for you to share some of the ways you decorate to show National pride on IShare Crafts! Let’s get a great “Patriotic” database going, okay?! But, back to the present… I have seen some phenomenal ideas being submitted and I’m about to share some of my favorites! YES! Let’s get to it!
1. Yum. I don’t care what country you are from, you’ll melt over this! ‘The Party Animal’ shares how to create some very patriotic frozen yogurt pops! Perfect for those hot summer days and gives the old patriotic heartstrings a tug
Patriotic Frozen Yogurt Push Pops
2.’Sweeter Than Sweets’ created this gorgeous “stars and stripes” banner from PAINT CHIPS! I can see me doing this with maple leaves instead of stars. Patriotic? Yes. BUT, imagine adapting this idea for ANY occasion. So easy, which makes this perfect in my book!
3.I just had to share these amazing stars from ‘Total Class Creative’. You can check out the tutorial on how to create your own stars! Aren’t these fun?
4.Beth Proudfoot has done it again with a fresh and fabulous stars and stripes bag topper! Are you planning a 4th of July party? Your party favors will look right at home in a bag like this!
5. Okay, YUMMO! ‘No Biggie’ shares her take on a flag dessert – a fruit pizza! How will you decorate yours?
6.The mother in me is just MELTING over this hand print (and foot print) flag from’ Creative Kristi’! This is a perfect gift for grandparents, am I right? Say it with me….AWWWWWW!
7. No matter where you live, you can adapt this fun piece of decor from Creative Goddess! Don’t you love the paint splatters? I think this would find a place on my book shelf all year long
I’m feeling so patriotic right now. I think I just might start singing. It’s a good thing there isn’t any audio on our website. See? We are always thinking of YOU!
How do you plan to celebrate your Nation this year? I’d love to hear your stories. I plan to travel 7 hours to spend Canada’s birthday with my in-laws. Nothing beats family. Until then, keep popping by the IShare sites for new, inspiring submissions each and every day!

What great ideas! I LOVE the 4th of July…can’t wait.
my first post was about a flag i made last year after watching “Nine by Design”…took me a while but I love the finished product and will use it for years. check it out!
Fellow Canadian here! Great ideas, and I love that paint chip banner (it would be awesome with maple leaves!!!). “Oh Canada, our home and native land! True patriot love in all our sons command!”
Yay, thanks so much for featuring my Star Spangled (Paint Chip) Banner! It definitely could work for so many things… Think about a cute (double-sided) Twinkle Twinkle Little Star mobile hanging over baby’s crib or the banner hanging on a party table in the party colors of course. =)
Love the 4th of July, what cute ideas!!
