6 ideas on how to entertain your kids! Featured Guest Marie from Make and Take

May 6, 2010 by

First off…we are guest posting over on Make and Takes today.

My refreshingly clear post today is on:

HowDoesShe get her kids to drink more water?how to get your kid to drink more water

Hop on over and find out how to increase the water and smoosh the sugar drinks! (and why my little guy has bed head)

But before you run off we wanted to show Marie off a tad.  She is the one who created the blog Make and Takes.   Marie and I are BFF’s …well she doesn’t know that.  You know when you’ve been following someone’s blog for so long you feel like you know them?  Well that is why it’s a one sided BFF thing:)  Over the last couple months Marie has been wonderful in answering a few of our  blogging questions.  We started this whirlwind of blogging about 7 months ago and have learned a lot…a little too much.  To think we didn’t even know how to post 8 months ago!

Anyway…I found 6 great ideas on Marie’s blog that answers the question:

How Does She…entertain kids?

My daughters saw this post and are already making plans on what they are going to do this weekend.

They will be busy by the looks of their list!

An umbrella turned into a jelly fish!  I don’t think I will see my daughters inside all day with this.  I found umbrellas at the dollar store so they don’t have to use the nice one!

Great feature and a lot of fun ideas. We have done a few of these such as tracing names and random object shows (There is usually at least one rock). I love the jelly fish umbrella and will have to try that out with my son. He would love it!!

Love your blog. You always have something great as a project for those of us that don’t have a project of our own to do. Thanks bunches.

you know when I click the animal umbrella link it takes me back to your rolled paper flower plantable post? I think maybe it’s not supposed to do that but I am just guessing here…. I just wanted to see what the materials are that she put on the umbrella.

Love the trace your name idea! I used it this morning in my Preschool Art Class with the 5 year olds. They absolutely loved it! I had to keep cutting more paper for them to keep doing each other’s names. I’m keeping that one in my repertoire for the future!
