14 Cute and CLEVER Ways To Say “I Love You”!
January 24, 2013 by Bobbi
I love any excuse to tell my family and friends just how much they mean to me. But, being me, I just HAVE to mix things up! Giving a treat to say “I Love You” is wonderful, but if you can jazz it up with a clever saying and cute printable, it just puts that treat OVER THE TOP! Isn’t it fun to feel brilliant when gift giving, especially when someone else did all of the brain work for you? After all, us geniuses need to stick together! Time to share some of my favorite cute and clever ways to say “I Love You” from ideas submitted to IShare Printables!
All kids (and some grown ups) love a good sucker, but why not make that lolly POP with this adorable “Bee Mine” printable? That lovely little sucker will adore becoming a beautiful, buzzing bee and your little one will LOVE giving them out this Valentine’s day!
2. Pop Quiz! Valentine Bag Topper
Pop quiz…who is the coolest mom on the block? Answer: YOU when you give these fun valentine’s to your kids’ friends. They will LOVE them, I guarantee it, and the bag topper is a free printable! It doesn’t get any easier than that, my friends.
Candy, shmandy. Today’s kids …okay, today’s kids love candy, but they will ALSO love getting their own tic-tac-toe game for Valentine’s day! Whether you print these for the entire classroom, or just your own little valentine, they will definitely be feeling the love!
4. Mini Valentine Popcorn Bags
Treats on Valentine’s Day don’t always have to be sweet! Download a free mini popcorn box, fill, and give! Better yet, prepare these for a family movie night and enjoy a little “together” time to show you care. Mmm..this has my mouth watering all over my key board!
While we are on the subject of being clever and brilliant – let’s talk RECYCLING! Check out “Sew. Craft. Create” dressed up an old baby food jar as the perfect “I Love You” treat! Plus, you can download those precious flag printables for free! We are just saving money all over the place!

I believe there are two types of people in the world; fans of the movie “The Princess Bride” and people who haven’t seen it, yet
If you know and wuv someone who is of the latter persuasion, why not wrap up a copy of the movie and add this little tag. They will WUV you FOWEVAH!
I’ll admit it, I’m a sucker for a cheesy “tag” line, and I’m most definitely a “sucker” for this “sweet” printable from “Shindig Parties To Go”. How easy would this be to put together? Now, I’ve got to find out where she bought that adorable lollipop!!
10. You Are The “Write” One For Me!
Tired of the cavity epidemic that occurs after all of the sugar given out on Valentine’s Day? Fight back by being the mom every MOM loves – hand out cute valentine’s day pencils or pens, and attach this witty little tag. Everyone will know that you’ve got the “write” stuff!
11. “Mint” To Be My Valentine!
A little ingenuity goes a LONG way, especially when you are looking at what to hand out for a classroom of children! A package of Smarties (or Rockets, if you are Canadian, eh), a stick of gum, and some life savers, magically transforms into the coolest valentine ever! Add the adorable free printable tag, and you’re set! This is an idea that will really “take off”!
{Are you groaning at all of the bad puns, yet?}
I have a thing for owls – it’s kind of a well-known fact among my friends and family. So, they can expect I’ll be somehow incorporating an owl into their Valentine’s cards this year. Since owls are super popular, right now, you could easily find a cute little owl trinket, attach this free printable card, and write a heartfelt little note of love inside. Then, you can pop it in the mail to ME and “Owl” love you forever
14. Cupid Monster Bookmark/Pencil Topper
Finally, I can’t imagine a better gift to give, this Valentine’s Day, than to GIVE the gift of ‘clever’ to a child you love. Encourage them to read and write by attaching these adorable free printables to a new book, and/or notebook and pencil. You can’t get more clever than that!
