#13 Neighbor Christmas Gift – Treat Countdown

November 21, 2009 by Missy

kiss-count-stringYou might say I am a little obsessed over Christmas countdowns, and you’d be right.  I love this one because you can customize everything to the recipiant.  You just put the same amount of treats as there are people in the family so everyone gets one each day.  You can put any kind of treat in this and the result is the same, one treat each day until Christmas!  They can hang it on their tree, or just hang it from a hook or door knob.  Your neighbors will love it!

To make it:

roll out a long piece of plastic wrap

divide candy into portions for however many days you want to do

roll it up

tie ribbon, yarn or twist ties to divide the sections

Deliver!  (I put mine in a mason jar to make it more of a package.)

Some other ideas:

I did this one for 12 days, but you could do any amount you wanted.

Make one for each of your kids and put little toys instead of candy

Put an ornament to hang on the tree each day

Put activities to do each day (go see santa, go sledding, go to library and pick out a Christmas book)

Use wrapping paper or material instead of plastic wrap so the treat is a surprise!

Totally customizable to your liking!
