Did you know that you can make freezer jam in a blender?! This is some breaking news to me as I am a bit of a jam snob. Nothing compares to homemade jam, and knowing that I can whip up a batch in five minutes is huge! I’ve been discovering all sorts of unique things to do with my Blendtec the last few months. I had no idea of the possibilities!! Until a year ago, I thought all blenders were created equal. I was certain blenders were only good for making smoothies and milkshakes, and I never expected mine to last longer than a year or two. I’d basically put “new blender” in our yearly budget, UNTIL I met my Blendtec. If you own one, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Here is a quick list of 11 must-try recipes in your Blendtec blender.

blendtec collage 1. Homemade Soups blendtec soup2

If you are looking for a great soup recipe to try, you must try our Tomato Basil Soup recipe. Even if you think you hate tomato soup, you won’t after tasting this one. To make this recipe a breeze, simply use your Blendtec instead of an immersion blender.

2. 3-Minute Guacamole blendtec guacamole

Yes, that’s right. Only 3 minutes to impressive homemade guacamole using the Blendtec Twister Jar. This optional  jar is designed to blend your thickest recipes with ease.

3. Homemade Freezer Jam blendtec jam

Who knew?! Try this Easy Apricot Jam Recipe or use other fruits to make your favorite flavor!

4. Milkshakes blendtec milkshare

What’s your favorite flavor? I recently discovered this Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake and it will change your world. I double dare you to only have one sip. Impossible!

5. Whipped Butter buttered

Use this one-ingredient recipe as a base for all of your butter needs. I like to add honey to make honey butter, or garlic seasoning to make garlic bread.

6. Texas Mission Salsa blendtec salsa2

This HowDoesShe original is one of my all-time favorites. When I’m in the mood for salsa, I whip this easy recipe together in a flash. The best part, you don’t have to have fresh tomatoes on hand!

7. Crepes blendtec_crepes

Crepes are a favorite in my house, but I was always a bit intimidated to make them. Not anymore! With my Blendtec, Crepe Batter is a breeze.

8. Peppermint  Hot Cocoa blendtec peppermint_hot_cocoa

I love nothing more than snuggling up to a good movie with hot cocoa in hand. Lose the notion that blenders only make frozen beverages (smoothies and milkshakes) and try this 5-minute homemade hot cocoa.

9. Salad Dressing and Marinade blendtec dressing

Go ahead and toss all of our store-bought dressings. After seeing how easy it is to make your own homemade dressings, you’ll never go back. This HowDoesShe Citrus Dressing is simply delicious. Try Blendtec’s Lime Cilantro Marinade on fajitas or fish tacos.

10. Smoothies shelley blendtec (5)

There are a bjillion fabulous smoothie recipes out there, but I’m here to tell you about the one secret ingredient that makes every fruit smoothie heaven on earth: Vanilla Coffee-mate. Add it to the top of your smoothie. I promise, you’ll love it.

shelley blendtec (2)

This is what most people think of when they think of a simple blender. But, trust me when I say the Blendtec blender makes smoothies different. The consistency is the same as ordering straight from your favorite smoothie shop.

11. Fruit Leather blendtec Peach_and_Strawberry_Fruit_Leather

This super easy fruit leather recipe is the perfect treat to stick in the kids’ lunchbox. They’ll never know they are eating such a healthy treat.

And, that’s only scratching the surface. I’ve discovered most of these recipes through Blendtec’s Inspiration Recipes. I receive their weekly emails and usually run to my blender to try the recipe of the week. I am simply AMAZED at the all the possibilities.

All the fabulous recipes aside, my very favorite part of having my new Blendtec Blender is knowing that my family is eating healthier.  This makes my momma heart happy. shelley blendtec (6)

Your turn. If you don’t already have a Blendtec, I am certain you want one. I pulled some strings and Blendtec is graciously giving one Blendtec Blender and one Blendtec Twister Jar to one VERY lucky HowDoesShe reader.  Ready, Set, Blend!

    Becky says:
Once upon I time I went to a movie screening with a friends work. They did a raffle and gave away prizes. All the prizes were lame but then they pulled out a Blendtec. I hoped and prayed I wouldn't win any of the lame prizes so I could win the Blendtec. I was prepared to yell and scream and cheer after I won the blender I coveted so much. Some lame guy won it and didn't even let out a little "woot". I was already disappointed but his lackluster response made me even more sad. I hoped to someday have the opportunity to redeem this weirdo who didn't know what a wonderful thing he had won. So I entered your contest that I will win. My Blendtec and I will live happily ever after.

I am a poor college student and I dream about having a blendtech all the time. My mom who lives four hours away from me has one and I use it everytime I go home - especially to make green smoothies.
My dream would come true if I won this blender! I can't even handle using a normal blender that my roommates have... it's just not the same!
There are so many easy college recipies you can make using a blend-tech! If I won this, the first thing I would make is an amazing smoothie! With the secret ingredient of spinach....... it would be amazing for me to get all my fruits and veggies in every day!
