The first Monday night in December they send out flyers telling people to come to a cul-de-sac and bring a treat to share and food for the food bank, instead of doing neighbor gifts. They've set up barrel fires and have hot cocoa. People are able to mingle and talk. You know it works when people talk about it year after year.
